Take a scenic 5-hour tour of Peterhof Palace from St. Petersburg and admire exquisite Baroque and Rococo designs. Stroll through the landscaped parks of the Russian tsars of the 18th century.
Known throughout the world as a jewel of Russian art, Peterhof Palace and gardens was laid out on the orders of Peter the Great. Often referred to as “Russia’s Versailles,” it is every bit as extravagant as the French chateau.
Explore the Grand Palace, creating an imposing impression from the Lower and the Upper Parks. From its marble terrace, enjoy magnificent views over the Grand Cascade, made up of staggering waterfalls, no less than 64 fountains, and 37 elaborate statues. Encounter the chessboard Chess Mountain, fountains disguised as umbrellas, and a fountain that sprays anyone unlucky enough to step on a particular paving stone!
For an added adrenaline kick, you can take a 45-minute round-trip speedboat ride, arriving in style, although perhaps not quite as dignified as the aristocrats of old!
