The siege ended in the Nazis failure to capture Leningrad, despite having cut off all land connections to the city. The unsuccessful military operation to capture Leningrad was the longest and most destructive siege in history, which resulted in the loss of many lives.
You can get a better understanding of this monumental historical event at Piskarevskoye Memorial Cemetery and the Memorial Monument/Museum on Victory Square, which we will visit on the tour. You will be picked up at your hotel and together we will start our tour. We will visit the War Memorial on Victory square and Piskarevskoye Memorial Cemetery.
