  • Marvel at the largest cascade in Europe and stroll in the Fountain Park
  • See the magnificent view over the Gulf of Finland
Full description
This tour begins with a scenic drive to the Peterhof residence. Peterhof was a brainchild of Peter the Great and was without a doubt his most ambitious project. Visit the Lower Garden, which retains its appearance of the mid-18th century, and marvel at the spectacular fountains and statues. While walking towards the Gulf of Finland you may feel the scope of the area and admire small stylized pavilions located in different corners of the garden. In the middle of the park you’ll see the largest cascade, which is one of the most exquisite in Europe. The Upper Garden with the oldest Neptune fountain in the middle is another gem of Peterhof. The fountain’s fascinating history can be traced back to 17 century when it was produced in Germany. Next you’ll enter the Grand Palace for a tour. The palace served as an official royal summer residence until the revolution of 1917. Admire interiors decorated in baroque, classical and oriental styles. One of the main highlights of the visit is the study of Peter the Great, which has retained its original design for nearly 3 centuries.

A perfect tour in a rainy an windy day

Elena, the guide, was waiting for us in the lobby of the hotel at our appointed time. Outside, a large, luxurious vehicle was waiting for us, for a trip about 40 minutes outside the city. During the trip we received comprehensive explanations of the historical and civic sites we passed. Throughout the trip, Elena demonstrated extensive knowledge and knowledge of both the palace we visited and its history in particular and the history of the Russian people in general. Elena speaks fluent English and at a very high level contributed greatly to the visit and the atmosphere in general. Thank you Elena for a really GREAT -GET YOUR- TOUR

A relaxed and pleasant experience with friendly people

We ordered a private tour in order to be able to control the tempo ourselves. Darina was a very pleasant guide who adjusted well to our needs, and Igor gave us a relaxed tour to our destination. The tour was very informative and Peterhof, and the gardens, are definitely a place not to be missed if you visit st. Petersburg.

Anna our tour guide was very professional knowledgeable and great personality. 4 days before the tour she sent me a email asking me if it would be ok with us to start the tour at 8:30am so we could have we have an early start with less people in the Peterhof palace and that was the best since it wasn’t infestated with hundreds of tourist yet and we enjoyed the beauty of the Palace. Anna and the chofer were waiting for us outside our hotel at 8:30am on the dot. Strongly recommend this tour
