Visiting in February we didn't really need the skip-the-line part of this tour as there were no queues, but we did get the benefit of a private tour, as there were just two of us on the tour and the expertise and knowledge of our tour guide. We'd met our guide, Olga, the previous day during our visit to the Hermitage and were looking forward to the tour of Catherine's Palace with her. The Palace is beautiful, breath-taking and stunning. Again Olga's love and passion for art came across during the tour. Olga also pointed out buildings of interest on our journeys, both too and from the Palace. The journey takes about 40 minutes by car, longer by public transport. I booked a transfer as I didn't feel confident in travelling by public transport. After travelling around the centre of St. Petersburg by bus I would consider making my own way there if I were to visit again.
I booked this tour to make sure we got to see the items of interest at the Hermitage. We were lucky, that as it was February, there were only 2 of us on the tour. Our guide, Olga, was friendly, knowledgable and obviously had a passion for art. We learnt a lot on the tour about the history of St. Petersburg, the history of the Hermitage and about the items on display. We are looking forward to our next tour with Olga as our guide.
Our family can strongly recommend Wilson tour . Booked a tour to Hermitage in advanced lasting 3h . No other participants so we had our own private guide Valeria Feodorova for ourselves. Perfect ! Valeria was professional and have a lot of knowledge that she shared with us. We had a good tour . I think it's wise to explore the Hermitage museum with a good tour guide . Nice experience overall when in St.Petersburg.
This was the most beautiful experience I’ve ever had regarding museums visiting! Hermitage is a MUST on your wishlist and definitely this experience wouldn’t have been the same without Olga, who explained us every detail, secret, story, legend about all the beauties inside the museum. I strongly recommend this tour!
