What to Expect
Enjoy this 5-hour private tour that takes you from St. Petersburg to Tsarskoe Selo (Pushkin) and Pavlovsk to see the magnificent summer residences of the former Russian tsars. The monarchs lived, worked, granted audiences, arranged diplomatic receptions, and hosted gala balls and masquerades in these opulent settings.
A comfortable chauffeured drive takes you to the town of Tsarskoe Selo, or Pushkin, where you’ll marvel at the grandeur of the Russian Baroque palace of Catherine the Great as well as the interior of the Amber Room. This is considered one of the world's wonders.
After just a short drive from Pushkin you’ll arrive at the stunning palace and park complex of Pavlovsk. This imperial estate was the residence of Emperor Paul I, the son of Catherine the Great. The estate's magnificent palace sits on a hill overlooking a park, which is landscaped in the English style and has a beautiful river running through it.
The huge and magically landscaped park was laid out in the area surrounding the Palace of Paul I to provide him with some solitude. Johann Strauss once performed with an orchestra in the park’s Musical Station.
