Full description
You will start your journey with the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, which was built in 1881 on the site of the assassination of Alexander II. The church still keeps the evidences of this horrible event – you will see the stones on which fell mortally wounded Alexander II, parts of the pavement and the lattice of the Catherine canal. The British portal Vouchercloud recognized the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood the most popular attraction in Russia for tourists from all over the world, and recently it entered the Top-10 attractions in the world by TripAdvisor. Continue your route towards beautiful Kazan Cathedral, which holds the miraculous icon of Kazan Mother of God - one of the main Shrines of the country. Moreover it is closely connected with the events of the Patriotic war. The Cathedral keeps the military trophies of the defeated French army gathered during the war in 1812 and the keys to the fortresses and cities of Europe taken by the Russian army in 1813-1814. And that is not all - near the walls of the Kazan Cathedral is buried the great General Mikhail Kutuzov. The termination point of the tour will be the Saint Isaac's Cathedral - one of the biggest in the world. You will be surprised to know that it was rebuilt 4 times and the final construction took more than 40 years! The Cathedral used to be called as a Museum of colored stone, because during the building were used 43 types of minerals. Its luxurious dome, painted by the best artists and sculptors will take you breath away!

Correct and competent guide

At first I wanted a guide in Spanish but due to some confusion an English-speaking guide came to look for me: Julia. I have to say that they immediately contacted the headquarters to try to solve the matter, but since my time was already very short and my English is acceptable, I decided to carry out the activity with Julia. A professional and charming guide, who was always concerned that she was understood perfectly. The visit took place in a slightly shorter time than was anticipated by the initial incident, but, except for missing some additional explanation for it, I was able to do with Julia a very pleasant excursion on foot and by metro to the cathedrals with a very competent person , which showed me the most relevant details outside and inside. He had the final detail of accompanying me in the taxi to the point where I wanted to stay.
