You learn a lot about the history behind why Vatican City is an independent Microstate. There is alot to see in the St. Peter's Basilica that was explained. The Sistine Chapel was also a great experience and the tour guide explained the story behind Michelangelo and the Pope very well.

Excellent tour, our guide, Maria, was very informative. Extremely busy in the Vatican Museums, that's to be expected but very interesting. St Peter's was terrific too. The Sistine Chapel is overhyped, wouldn't rush back to that. Note to that men DO NOT have to cover their knees. On entering St Peter's the guards issued pieces of cloth to women with bare shoulders or very short dresses but they seemed quite relaxed about it. So, you will see a lot of knees in St Peter's!

Very nice tour with Through Eternity!! Our guide John was so nice and knowledgeable about everything. We were travelling with our baby (10 months old) and we got our way through the all tour without a problem. We wouldn’t have don’t it without a guide as there is a lot of information/stories we would have missed on our own. Definitely a mandatory tour with your visit to the Vatican.
