This side trip was worth it as you will see diverse scenery that can only be seen by train. It was well organized and on time. The tour guide, Daniela was great and she made every effort to give us enough time to see and experience things but also kept us in check to see the train and bus. You meet at Garibaldi Metro take a bus, drive to St. Moritz. this little town was like an overpriced Aspen, the food at the cafes were bland, an 18 euro cheese ham sandwich. then the waiter requested a service tip, the only European country that requires a tip. wow ! take your lunch !! you get an hour or so before getting on the train in St Moritz, the scenery is great, there was still snow on the ground. then we end the trip and meet the bus, drive over to Tirana, get 30 minutes restroom break and head back to Milan, a long day but it goes fast, can catch sleep on the bus, we got back about 6:00pm or so depending on traffic.

It was a lovely tour! It’s a long day from Milan but you truly see the best sights and the train ride is the official panaromaic view of the Swiss alps. What’s also best about this one is you take the bus UP the ALPS and then the panoramic red train DOWN the ALPS. Monica our tour guide was lovely - her English was very good and she was very friendly and willing to give many suggestions on things to do while visiting Italy. The bus drivers for these tours are VERY SKILLED and they make over 20 switchback turns going up the ALPS so you want to be sure you pick the best tour with the most professionals. I would highly recommend this tour if you are limited in time and want to see the ALPS/Switzerland on your trip to Milan.

Great experience, bus journey was interesting and train journey enjoyable. Let down by other factors such as the train window wouldn’t open (only one on our private carriage) but couldn’t get the whole experience and disappointed by other travellers in our group not arriving back at the meeting points on time. It would have been useful to know that shops don’t open on a Saturday in st moritz this time of year which left the town a bit dead.

So convenient to just board the train or the boat and go wherever you want. No need to line up to buy tickets. Enjoyed the ride to Lauterbrunnen, then up to Wengen. Likewise, Mt Rigi excursion was fantastic, included also in the pass.

Excellent tour. Andrea gave us an amazing tour. Highly recommend this!
