Malta: Blue Lagoon, Beaches & Bays Trip by Catamaran

Malta: Blue Lagoon, Beaches & Bays Trip by Catamaran

We will stop in 2-3 different locations. The first stop will be the Blue Lagoon. The boat will drop anchor away from the crowds so that you can experience the famous turquoise water peacefully. The stops after the Blue Lagoon depend on the weather/sea conditions. A few of our possible stops are: 1. Crystal Lagoon, surrounded by steep, dramatic cliffs. Its crystal clear waters are much deeper than the Blue Lagoon, making the area fantastic for snorkelling and swimming in and around the caves. During this stop, you can enjoy an optional barbecue. 2. Anchor Bay to view the film set of Popeye’s Village, tucked away in a charming bay. Other stops that could be made include Mellieha Bay, Golden Bay, GHajn Tuffieha Bay, Ramla Bay, Imgiebah Bay, or Half Rock. All of these locations are great for snorkelling and swimming. Back on the boat, listen to dance music, and buy cocktails at the bar. If you have selected the afternoon option, relax and watch the sunset on the horizon. After a wonderful day at sea, begin the journey back to Bugibba.

Malta: Vittoriosa, Cospicua and Senglea Tour with Boat Trip

The Three Cities is a collective description of the three fortified cities of Cospicua, Birgu (Vittoriosa), and Senglea. The oldest of the Three Cities is Vittoriosa, which has existed since prior to the Middle Ages. The other two cities, Senglea and Cospicua, were both founded by the Order of the Knights of Saint John in the 16th and 17th centuries respectively. During this half day tour, you will have the opportunity to appreciate these unique historical fortified cities and admire magnificent churches, traditional piazzas, incredible fortifications, and architectural treasures found all around the Three Cities area. Pieces of living history kept alive by hundreds of years of preservation! We start with a panoramic drive past the city of Cospicua, a double fortified harbour city and the largest of the three cities, to reach the city of Vittoriosa, this glorious city has been inhabited since the time of the Phoenicians, but the current city dates back from the time of the Order of the Knights of Saint John. Vittoriosa was chosen as the capital city of Malta instead of Mdina upon the arrival of the Order in the year 1530. Enjoy a fascinating walking tour through the narrow streets of the city admiring and appreciating all the historical buildings and captivating treasures found at every twist and turn. Upon arrival at the stunning Vittoriosa waterfront, board a traditional Maltese “Frejgatina” (a small, carvel-built fishing boat) for a delightful tour of the colourful harbour creeks. The tour ends at Senglea, named after Claude De La Sengle, the Grand Master who founded the city, Senglea is also known as “Civitas Invicta” a name given to the city for managing to resist the Ottoman invasion during the Great Siege of 1565. The island on which Senglea lies was joined by a land bridge to Cospicua during the time of the Knights of St. John and as a result, it became peninsular in shape. From the Gardjola Gardens located at the tip of the peninsula enjoy a stunning 360° view of the Grand Harbour, including the impressive Fort Sant Angelo, from where the Grand Master Jean Perisot De La Valette led the defence of the island during the Great Siege of 1565. This tour was an excellent mix of some time to explore at Gozo, viewing the Camino Caves and time to enjoy the stunning Blue Lagoon. Although we probably could have spent a little longer at Gozo, it was starting to get warm by the time we left so a swim in the Blue Lagoon was very welcomed. The powerboat provided a fun and fast way travel between the stops. The pick up point was also very convenient for us, being just a ten minute walk from our hotel. Some of the other tours we looked at work have required us to take an Uber/taxi for 30 minutes each way. Our skipper was excellent. We felt safe, had a fun day and were well entertained. 100% recommend this tour during your visit to Malta and if staying around St Julian.

We had the most amazing day on this trip. Definitely worth the extra €20 difference from the other boat trips as it was so much better. It had a bbq, music and snorkelling masks for free. Get the bbq for €15 on board it was great. And get off the boat at blue lagoon and get yourselves a cocktail (in a pineapple). Couldn’t recommend more!!

It was a great and beautiful cruise, we also took the speedboat and it was fantastic, we also took the bus to Gozo, reserved through the boat, but thought it was a shame that it was a very old, unkempt bus, there were 16 of us in it without air conditioning. ....., the trip with the boat was wonderful

A full and enjoyable day. We had a great time, the excursion is very nice and worth it. The weather was very good and we didn't face any problems. I highly recommend it.

Cool trip, nice crew, great food, unforgettable bays and good cocktails - what more could you want?
