It was built by Saladin Al-Ayubi in 1176 A.D, and it was the center of government during the Ayyubid era. Move to the elaborated decorated Muhammad Ali Grand Mosque. It is sometimes called the Alabaster Mosque, and its walls are covered with alabaster panels. The inscriptions on the walls of the temple tell the story of the birth of Queen Hatshepsut and her trading trips to the country of Punt, now known as the modern state of Somalia or the peninsula. After visiting the temple, you will return on board to enjoy lunch before your guide picks you up again to visit the beautiful Temple of Philae, the Pearl of Egypt. The walls of the Philae temple are covered in ancient hieroglyphics, and among the large sculptures of the gods of ancient Egypt are inscriptions in the ornate pictorial alphabet, telling the stories of this civilization. I spent 7 unforgettable days in Egypt, where I had the chance to visit the country’s most famous monuments. Each site was impressive, full of history and culture. The guides were perfect—professional, knowledgeable, and passionate, which made every visit even more captivating. The organization of the trip was flawless, as were the hotels, which provided excellent comfort and quality. A special mention goes to Zeinab, the tour organizer, who ensured everything went smoothly. Thanks to her and her team, this experience will remain a cherished memory.

Michael was an excellent tour guide who took us to a couple extra places not included on the tour at our request. Tour was at a relaxed pace and the lunch at a local restaurant was tasty.

Amal is a very good guide. She has a very good knowledge of history and she impressed us. All in all, a fantastic day. Thank you Amal.

Our guide was super knowledgeable and very nice! We loved every minute of the tour!

Overall I enjoyed it. The cruise ship was relaxing and the staff were nice.
