1. St. Augustine: Deluxe Dolphin-Watching Kayak Tour
Escape the crowds and get a new perspective of St. Augustine during a kayaking trip through the Salt Run. Admire views of Anastasia State Park and its Lighthouse. Get the opportunity to spot a variety of local marine life including manatees, sea turtles, rays, and even dolphins. Choose between a solo or double kayak and begin the adventure with an informative tutorial from your naturalist guide. After making sure you are fitted with your life jacket, paddle, and kayak you'll launch through the Salt Run right by the Lighthouse. Paddle roughly 4-miles long down the lagoon located between Anastasia Island and Conch Island. On one end it opens up to the Matanzas inlet and on the other, it closes deeper into the park. A wide variety of wildlife may be seen here including dolphins, manatees, and sea turtles. You'll be surrounded by the gorgeous views of Anastasia State Park and the Anastasia Lighthouse. Your guide will offer to take pictures for you as they share their knowledge of the history and ecology of the area. Depending on wind conditions and course you may take a break on a sandbar at low tide or on one of the beautiful beaches in the state Park.
