My kids (16&12) have been bugging me to write this review since we did our walking tour with Yoreh last Wednesday, as they both had such a great time. We had an exceptional tour of Rotterdam and Yoreh of course was amazing! Throughout our years travelling, we’ve done many walking tours (including 3 in the Netherlands) and this one was by far the best. Yoreh was a perfect mix of insightful and funny and we covered a lot of interesting sites throughout the tour. I would encourage any travellers to do this tour as it helps you understand the history of the city and definitely improves navigation of such a large city. Bring good shoes and appropriate clothes because you get to see a lot! We wish you luck on your next 100 tours Yoreh!

The tour in the engine room was great and our guide Hans was wonderful and very knowledgeable. However the tour around the main decks where you walk by yourself felt a bit disorienting, the audio guide didn’t work in some of the checkpoints or information was available only in Dutch. When you get to the meeting point at the ship, you have no idee where to start the tour, we entered the ship by ourselves and wondered around for quite some minutes before we found a staff member who pointed us to the right deck and where to start the tour. The entire tour took us about 3 hrs, 2 hours the self tour for the upper part of the ship and 1 hour for the guided engine room tour.

If you book just one tour in Rotterdam, make it this one! Our guide, Yoreh, was really well-prepared, knowledgeable, and entertaining. He helped us truly appreciate the city’s uniqueness, its historical significance, and its culture. We’ve taken many tours around the world, but this was among the very best we’ve ever been to.

Yoreh was an absolute star! His knowledge of Rotterdam is extensive and he is very excited to share his knowledge. He showed us old and new. He told us about history and the war. He provides context via photos of old and new, linking the two together in unforgettable juxtaposition. An amazing tour!!
