The tour starts at 8 AM in front of Info Bosnia Tourist Information Center located on main pedestrian street Ferhadija, just next to "Sarajevo Meeting of Cultures", but can be arranged from elsewhere, if requested. The city of Srebrenica is located around two and a half hours from the city of Sarajevo. The road takes you through a desolate, mountainous area with beautiful nature. While you are able to enjoy the scenery you will start learning about the history of Yugoslavia, so you can better understand the genocide of Srebrenica.  Your first stop is in front of the battery factory, used by UN forces during the war in Bosnia. Located in these previous headquarters of the Dutch battalion of the UN forces, is now one of the most modern museums in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the “Museum of Srebrenica Genocide”. There you will meet the curator and experience first-hand stories about the survival in the Srebrenica enclave. From the Museum of Srebrenica Genocide, continue to the Memorial room, where you will be able to hear the stories of the victims, which were recorded by a local journalist. A part of the Memorial room is also dedicated to the people responsible for the massacre. Victims that were found and identified are resting at the Memorial cemetery. Now the cemetery counts 6575 victims, but this number rises every year. Once you visited Potocari Memorial Center, continue your journey to the city of Srebrenica. Once the industrial leader in the area, and one of the oldest settlements of people is now a ghost city. Srebrenica is also the location for the lunch, as there are not a lot of restaurants nearby.  After Srebrenica, return to Sarajevo, where you will arrive around 6 PM and your tour ends.

After more than three years of the war in Bosnia, on July 11, 1995, Srebrenica was attacked. Most importantly, it was a city in East Bosnia which the UN designated to be a protected area in the war. Finally, it became the stage of the worst crimes against humanity. Armed soldiers and paramilitary units killed more than 8,000 people in the following days. While there, you are going to see a huge graveyard where the victims are buried. The High Representative Wolfgang Petritsch established the memorial and the museum in 2001 as a part of the Foundation “Srebrenica-Potocari”. Today, the complex serves as a warning and a memory for all the victims of Srebrenica Genocide. US President, Bill Clinton officially opened the memorial in 2003. From that year onwards, there were successive burials of hundreds of victims every year. The atrocity was on such a massive scale that the experts are still disinterring and identifying the victims from mass graves in the area around the river Drina. You are going to see a lot of original photo and video exhibitions in the Memorial that will help you understand the level of crimes that happened there. Beside the memorials, this tour covers many tragic stories from the 90s. Surely, after meeting the survivor of Srebrenica genocide your perspective of this human tragedy will affect you and will probably change the perception you had before. Later, our guide will show you life after genocide since this tour will continue towards Srebrenica town. We will show you the springs of healthy water in the area around the city. This water contains two-valency fero, cobalt, nickel, copper, manganes etc. It is very healthy and has big potential in developing this area in the future. You will return to Sarajevo around 5 pm.

The "Shot that Changed the World Tour" in Sarajevo begins with a visit to Sarajevo City Hall, an iconic Austro-Hungarian-era building. This location holds historical significance as it was meant to host Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie during their visit to Sarajevo. Franz Ferdinand's visit, aimed at inspecting the imperial armed forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina, coincided with historical and personal anniversaries on June 28. This date, linked to the First Battle of Kosovo and Franz Ferdinand's wedding anniversary, became the backdrop for the tragic events that unfolded. The tour explores the political and social context of Southern Slavic countries during Austro-Hungarian rule, delving into secret societies like the "Black Hand" and "Young Bosnia," which played a role in the assassination plot. The failed first attempt and the successful attempt by Gavrilo Princip are recounted, detailing how these events triggered World War I.
