Full description

Enjoy a day in inland Croatia on a full-day excursion to Plitvice Lakes National Park, where you will visit Croatia's largest national park.

Leave Split and Trogir and enjoy a drive through the countryside toward a unique jewel - the Plitvice Lakes. On arrival, start your tour on foot through the woods, led by your guide.

Cross Gornja Jezera, which are the upper lakes, and then continue by boat, accompanied by the sound of the waterfalls, to Donja Jezera, the lower lakes.

Approach the Great Falls, 256-feet (78 meters) high, and hear the roaring thunder of the water hitting the ground. Go to Outlook Cave, which is known from the scene in Karl May’s movie, “Treasure of Silver Lake.” End your journey with a panoramic train ride.

Recuperate with an optional lunch in a local restaurant. Return to Split after your tour.

My tour guide was Andrej and my boyfriend and I loved him! We were on his sept 2nd tour. He was so funny and gave us great tips for the rest of our trip in Croatia. He knew all the tricks for Plitvice to try to avoid crowds as much as possible and made sure we saw as much as we could in the time we had. Thank you Andrej!!

Our guide was Toni and he was very knowledgable as well as funny, and allowed us to have the freedom to walk around the lakes by ourselves whilst still making sure he didn’t lose us. The lakes were absolutely beautiful, and totally worth the 3 hour bus ride. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Croatia.

This was such a great trip to see the national park and tour group size was reasonable too. Our guide Toni made us all feel welcomed and explained the history and background of the park and area as we went. We neither felt hurried nor rushed when exploring but consideration was given to everyone on the trip. Highly recommended and hope to return in future to enjoy this park again.
