Full description
The fun starts in Split where you will depart at 8:30 AM towards Skradin and the national park. Once on the road, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery that Croatia has to offer. Your friendly guide is always at your service along the way, they will explain the trip and all the important parts of it. Your guide will collect the money and buys the tickets for the national park for you with a discount. Once in Skradin, enjoy a tour of the small Mediterranean town with its charming narrow paved streets and passages, rich history, stunning scenery, and quality cuisine and wine. With all its delights, Skradin is another little Croatian gem. The city of Skradin is the entrance to the National Park. To reach the park you need to take a short boat ride in beautiful wooden ships that show you all the glory of the river. The boat ride starts in Skradin and goes up to Skradinski Buk. The boat ride gives you a chance to enjoy the unique natural beauty of the river, the rich flora, and fauna, and see numerous monuments and sacral buildings. Once inside the national park, the guide explains everything and gives you 5 hours of free time. You can spend it losing yourself among beautiful wildlife and nature, hiking or having a picnic in the spacious meadows that Krka offers. The best part of the experience is the beach next to the main waterfall, Skradinski Buk. After you have cooled off in the river you can go look for shade and food in the beautiful little restaurants that are not very expensive. Around 4:30 PM you will head back and at 5:45 PM you will arrive back in Split.

We were disappointed to learn on the day of our tour that due to the ever-changing travel conditions currently, our tour would be combined with another company’s tour that was to visit, in addition to KrKa NP, a village and do an optional wine tasting. The tour itself was fine, and we ended up having a nice day with the other company’s guide (who was very kind and knowledgeable). However, Danielja, the Booker employee with whom we worked, saved the day. To make up for our experience, she offered to take us on an additional tour the following day, at no cost, which she led and ended up being a highlight of our time in Split. This would have been a very different review had it not been for Danielja’s professionalism and exceptional customer service.

The waterfall is stunning and it's a pleasant walk through the woods to reach it. Our guide Ivan was very helpful and informative. However in the description for our tour it mentioned a beach near the waterfall and a walking tour of Stradin. There is a grassy area but no beach but we had time to look around Stradin on our own. All in all though a good day.

as good looking as the photos

too bad it is only one (south) part of the national park. i would love to see the entire park in a nutshell. however through a well organized yet fun and friendly guided tour by Daniela, it made it very local. we all enjoyed our time with Mama Bear. hopefully we meet again, some sunny day. ps she can sing!!! ;)
