Fantastic tour. Gathered in the morning at the bus parking lot in Split. They provide pick-ups if you are far away from the parking lot. Frano, our tour guide, gave some history of Croatia (story much appreciated) on the bus ride to Plitvice Lakes. 1 gas station stop. At the park, Frano guided us through the park. (No swimming allowed there. Clear waters with lots of trout.) We took a short boat ride across a calm, turquoise lake, walked around plenty of beautiful waterfalls, then back to the boat dock where we took another calming boat ride to another side of the lake and walked past more lakes and waterfalls. Spent about 4 hours there (it goes by fast), with two toilet stops there. Back in the minivan at about 3 p.m., we drove to have a late lunch at a fantastic, reasonably priced restaurant, Vila Velebita (heavenly mushroom soup and nice baklava), and there for those who were transferring to Zagreb, luggage was transferred from one minivan to another minivan for trip to Zagreb.

Plitvice Lakes are a must see when in Croatia, and this is a brilliant and efficient way to get from Split to Zagreb Andrei our guide was great and kindly chaperoned us right to the door of the hotel in Zagreb, such a great way to transfer between cities with luggage! It felt like we really got to see a good deal of the lakes even though it felt a tad rushed at times (I would suggest slowing down slightly and allotting some time for eating lunch/ stopping to just soak up the atmosphere in the park) - I'd still highly recommend this tour and think there's no better way to transfer.

(1) Enjoyed. Need to be durable in walking up & down for several km's. (2) No need to queue to enter the park. Skipped approx 100 persons. (3) The more detail should be informed, i.e., meeting location (where in large parking areas), itinerary (where changing from van to bus).
