Journey back in time and explore the history of Split, from Diocletian's Palace, built for the Roman emperor in 305 CE, through to the present day. Marvel as history is brought to life before your eyes. See the Cathedral of Saint Domnius with its 12th-century bell tower, and visit the impressive Peristyle courtyard of Diocletian's Palace. Admire the statue of Gregory of Nin by the 20th-century sculptor, Ivan Meštrović. Take a closer look at the impressive Golden Gate that Diocletian walked through to enter his palace. Go down to the Riva promenade to get lovely views of the Adriatic Sea, and see the Old Town Hall and City Clock on People's Square. After the tour of Split take a cozy 45min drive to Trogir and discover one more UNESCO protected sites, the old town of Trogir

Really enjoyed the tour of the Palace and Ivan’s knowledge of history was excellent. I would have preferred ending the guided tour where we started instead of by the football fields.
