This excursion is really worth doing. The duration can put off at first sight but during the trip our guide explained to us the different regions we were going through, we learned a lot about Croatia as well as had a short language course. Petar (our guide) was very warm and welcoming. He takes the time to teach us and make us discover new things: Thank you Petar!

From split it is a long trip there and back. All in all quite a tough day, also because it was super hot that day. A tour guide is useful because he knows the beautiful places and it is also fun with a group. You still have plenty of free time for yourself. The water is a beautiful crystal clear turquoise. It is a pity that you are not allowed in anywhere, this is quite killing but all in all it was a beautiful day and really enjoy the beautiful nature!

Plitvice lakes is a must visit destination in Croatia. Our guide was best, unfortunately I forgot the name. You will spend lot of time in bus but guide will provide you detailed information regarding history, culture and current situation of country. Bus stops at regular intervals for refreshment breaks. Only problem with trip is a Lunch break while coming back to split. They stop at particular restaurant where I had very bad experience. Make sure you order everything in one go. Once you order something, you will not get second chance for next 40-50 min and bus stops only for 1 hrs.
