What People Are Saying About Soviet War Memorial

A fun and informative way to get an overview of Berlin.

Alex was an entertaining, sensitive and knowledgable history graduate. Other companions were friendly and fun. The cycling pace was perfect to see and learn about the history if both sides of Berlin. We struck perfect weather and flat terrain made for easy cycling. Vehicle and foot traffic weren't an issue. Loved it.

Great experience - recommend this one for sure

I was with an American friend in Berlin so we decided to do a bike tour. The tour covers all the main sights you should do when you are in Berlin. I suggest to do it right at the start and then go back to the places you want to visit. Bike ride was not hard and not hilly at all. We liked it very much. the guide was very friendly and his English was perfect (native speaker)

Too large a subject for 1/2 day. Didn't seem to cover all as offered!

Was looking forward this tour and the World War Two aspect. Just to see some of the major buildings (if still standing) & hear the associated history. Lewis the guide, with his flawless english, was very knowledgeable & rather than just conduct the tour with an obvious 'script' he encouraged questions & participation. So we started at The Brandenburg Gate, round to the Reichstag, over to the Russian Memorial, though the Tiergarden to the Gay Victims & Jewish Memorials & then to the site on top of Hilter's Bunker. We then stopped for approx 25 minutes which was just as well as it was a very warm day. The tour continued with a stop at a piece of modern art commemorating Johann Esler before getting the U-Bahn to the Synagogue & finally the Jewish Cemetary. Yes it was all very interesting & exceptional well explained & here is the but.. Where was the Luthwaffe, SS & Gestapo Headquarters as advertised? Whilst I enjoyed the tour I still came away feeling slightly shortchanged! More old!
