You can choose your pick up location from our pick up location list we provide. Be advised that in the downtown area we are not allowed to stop at Hotel entrances, you will be directed to the nearest bus stop. A minivan marked Troll Expeditions will pick you up at the departure time stated on your voucher: it may take up to 30 minutes for the bus to arrive to your location, depending on how far you are from downtown. Make sure to call us immediately if you don't see the bus coming within 30 minutes from departure time.

Full description

We will pick you up from Reykjavik on our minivan marked with our Troll Expeditions Logo.
The pick up starts at the same time stated on your voucher and it can last up to 30 minutes.
Once everyone is aboard, off we go to Thingvellir National park to take part in one of the most exciting activities in the world: snorkelling between 2 continental tectonic plates!
Our guide will be at the meeting point waiting for you; once there, you will get ready with all the gears we provide: you just need to make sure you wear comfortable clothes (a thin layer of thermal clothes is recommended). It will take 5 minutes to walk to the Silfra fissure. From the outside, you may think this is just a regular lake; wait to be immersed underwater, and you will see the wonders of pure and clear glacier water, with an extraordinary visibility of about 100 meters! Our guide will take photos of you while snorkelling.
Once the activity has finished and everyone is ready, we will drive you back to Reykjavik.

  • - You must be ready to wear a dry suit tight at the neck to protect your body from the cold water.
  • - Have read, signed, and followed directions on the Snorkeling Silfra Medical Statement Form –https://troll.is/medical). You can sign the form at the meeting location.
  • - Not allowed for travellers who do not meet our medical statement requirements
  • - Not recommended for travelers with back problems
  • - Not allowed for travelers with heart problems or other serious medical conditions
  • - Not allowed for pregnant women
  • - Not allowed for clients under 12 and over 69 (Clients aged between 60 and 69 need a medical waiver signed by a doctor)
  • - You must have a height and weight of minimum 150 cm and 45 kilos, and of maximum 200 cm and 120 kilos.
  • - Basic swimming ability is required
