The Hague: City Bike Tour

1. The Hague: City Bike Tour

Travelling by bike is the Dutch way of doing things, and The Hague’s bicycle infrastructure is up there with the best in the world. There’s no better way to discover the city than cycling around with a comedian guide. While rolling around town, your guide will show you the local treasures, from the historic center to the natural parks, and the beach and beyond. Just before you get tired, he will take you back to the start for a coffee and debrief. Be ready to interact, because you will be not only be actively taking part in the tour by moving your legs – we will get you guessing, matching, and tasting as well. Our guide will tell you about The Hague's interesting historical figures and architecture, as well as what is hot and happening today. After we take a coffee break when we finish, you'll know exactly where to go.

Rotterdam: City Center Electric Boat Rental

2. Rotterdam: City Center Electric Boat Rental

Discover Rotterdam from the water with an electric boat rental from a jetty in Oude Haven. Enjoy the use of life jackets and get detailed instructions on how to use the boat without needing a boating license. Choose from a 1 or 2-hour rental period. Head to the jetty next to the iconic yellow cube houses in Oude Haven and check in at the front desk. Listen as a staff member explains how to operate the electric boat. Embark on a self-guided adventure from the jetty aboard the boat. Make your way to see the stunning architecture that lines the city's waterways with time to visit districts like Scheepsmakershaven, Leuvehaven, Wijnhaven, Haringvliet, Boerengat, and Buizengat. Return your boat to the jetty at the end of the rental period.

Noordwijk: Beach and Dunes Bike Tour

3. Noordwijk: Beach and Dunes Bike Tour

Discover this unique landscape in the Netherlands by bike. Start off your tour in Noordwijkerhout on one of the most beautiful squares in the area. Cycle along a lake to the beautiful dunes and enjoy the view over the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen, where the city of Amsterdam gets the drinking water. See a glider aerodrome that is very active at the weekends.  Stop at Nederzandt, a lovely beach club near the sandy beach. Taste real dutch apple pie with coffee or tea. After this break, cycle through the dunes and woods which are part of the National Park "de Hollandse Duinen". Take in the beautiful landscapes and with some luck, you might see rabbits, a deer or a fox.  Most of the cycle paths are paved, so your bike tour will not be too hard. After a nice tour in nature, you cycle along the Atlantic Wall museum in Noordwijk. In this lovely place at the beach, you have some spare time (about an hour) to visit the beach, the shops or one of the beach clubs. Take a walk on the boulevard with beautiful hotels and terraces and eat some fish at the fish seller on the boulevard. Head back to Noordwijkerhout after this break and cycle through the country lanes of the Bollenstreek. In spring there are many tulips and daffodils blooming here. In late summer there are dahlias or gladiolus blooming.  Back in Noordwijkerhout, you will hand off your bike at the bike rental.

What people are saying about South Holland

We have made a fantastic extensive bike tour through The Hague. Thanks in part to the enthusiastic guide Jurjen with his rickshaw, his comical way of telling, tasty jokes and wonderfully sober and nonchalant behavior, we had a wonderful sporty afternoon. Seen parts of The Hague and surroundings that we didn't know were there. And the three-hour tour turned into a 5.5-hour tour. Jurjen doesn't look so closely. We cycled our legs out of our bodies (the rickshaw is electric and the bikes are not) but it was definitely worth it. Fancy a nice tour....we recommend him wholeheartedly.

As a family (kids 4+7 yrs), we really enjoyed the ride. Uncomplicated booking and payment, very nice briefing and we were able to start 30 minutes earlier because we were too early. They are "experienced in boating", but really anyone can operate the e-boat - therefore: if your feet are burning and the little ones are nagging, get on the boat and go for a spin. And if you get tips for the city at the end, then that's it added value! Would do it again!

We had a great time following this online game, discovering small alleyways and aspects of Gouda that you might otherwise not have come across. One or two of the clues and answers were a bit vague or open to misinterpretation, but it did not matter overall.

Such an amazing tour — a must do! Our guide was so fun and knowledgeable!!! The bikes were nice and the route was perfect we saw so much

Over all a great ride, the guides are amazing. How ever a three hour ride roof almost 5.
