From 16 February - 9 June our Laughing Boy will be on loan to the Rijksmuseum for the Frans Hals exhibition. Frans Hals is one of the most famous and remarkable painters of the Dutch 17th century. All of his paintings show that Hals was able to use colour and broad brushstrokes like no other to 'bring his paintings to life'. Even though our most populair Hals will be away there are still four other magnificent paintings by him you can visit at the Mauritshuis. From 6 February - 20 May 2024 Roelant Savery's Wondrous World, featuring over 40 paintings and drawings, including works on loan from museums in the Netherlands and abroad, will introduce visitors to this highly versatile artist. He was a pioneer in many fields, and introduced several new themes to Dutch painting. He made the Netherlands’ first floral still life, and was the most notable painter of the legendary (extinct) dodo. He was also the first artist who went out into the streets to draw ordinary people. His painted landscapes are often like a fairytale, featuring ancient ruins and marvellous vistas. And his animal paintings include so many species that it would be an understatement to describe them as 'crowded'.

We three gals booked this private tour and had the most wonderful time. Our 10 hour tour activity leader, Cornelis, was not only so professional but also attentive, helpful, fun, informative and he gave us the VIP experience. We enjoyed the Tulip Experience, then a somewhat unscheduled lunch on our way to Keukenhof Gardens. These gardens are spectacular and amazing. Yes, during the tulip season, there are lots of tourists, but we never experienced lack of space. This garden is meticulously cared for and has plenty of amenities. And then to Giethoorn- a little drive, but our Mercedes had comfortable seats and once again we were able to enjoy the countryside. As we did earlier, the amazing tulip fields. Giethoorn, such a surprise. And how this little country town became a tourist attraction. We truly enjoyed our little boat ride in that little town, history of it and the charm of the old. And Cornelis was awesome.

The tour is a great add on experience after visiting Keukenhof, the bikes are well maintained, and the flower fields are awesome to see even many of them have been cut, still very impressive to see. And the Tulip farm visited is great, loved the introduction of the Tulip history, and a lots of toys in the field of the farm for taking pictures which is really fun!

What an adventure Amsterdam, Keukenhof amd The Hague!!! Highly recommend to buy the Amsterdam & Region Travel Ticket. Great value for money. Hassle free trying to buy tickets at the kiosk or machine. Saved a lot of time and money using this ticket.

A wonderful trip to Keukenhof and the windmill village. Everything worked great. Special thanks to the clear and knowledgeable guide.

- Group too large. In the outdoor spaces you could barely hear the guide's voice + good timings for individual exploration
