Enjoy your lunch at a chosen winery.  Then, make a stop in the charming, historic township of Mintaro, established around 1850 as an overnight stop for Ox drays carting the rich ore of the Burra Mines to Port.  Visit Wakefield, another the heritage-listed town, which is home to the first Jesuit church built in Australia. Step back in time with a guided tour of the lavish Georgian mansion Martindale Hall, a unique estate built in 1879. The mansion is also known for being the setting for iconic Australian film, Picnic at Hanging Rock.  Last, travel the backroads from Mintaro to the picturesque Skillogalee Valley, where you will finish your day with afternoon tea at Skillogalee Restaurant.

At the beginning of this 4-hour activity you’ll be picked up in central Adelaide and transferred to the summit of Mount Lofty. At 710 meters, it is the highest point in the Mount Lofty Ranges and offers stunning views of Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills, and the plains below. From here it’s downhill all the way back to Adelaide! It’s just a short ride though Cleland Conservation park to your first stop of the day, at Cleland Wildlife Park. You’ll have a chance to explore at your leisure and feed or pet kangaroos, wallabies, emus and many other native animals. You may even have the chance to pet a koala! After approximately 10 km you’ll arrive in the suburbs of Adelaide, and enjoy a final spin along some quiet backstreets, past some lovely houses and suburban parks. When you reach Victoria Park you’ll have a great view of the summit of Mount Lofty, where you started out 3 hours and 18 km ago!

Great wine in a beautiful location. We started with a lovely wine tasting to pick the wine for our picnic and had the chance to enjoy the wine together with an amazing cheese platter with a great view over the vineyard and the Barossa valley. Definitely recommended!

You can pick the location and company but never the weather. Although it was wet and miserable we had an amazing time. The service was brilliant
