We had an incredible day on this excursion getting a real sense for the authentic Mauritius away from the hustle and bustle of peak tourism zones. Our guide Sailen was outstanding. From minute one in the hotel to the very end of the tour 8hrs later he did not stop educating us about Mauritius from plants, to animals to buildings he knew it all. He was also took care of everything during the visit ensuring we had great tables at restaurants and tasting venues with perfect views. The order of the day was as follows: - Visited an 18th century colonial house. - Visited a tea factory - Went to a viewpoint for tea tasting where we saw Makac monkeys! - Visited another colonial house where we learnt about vanilla farming. Enjoyed a traditional 3 course Mauritian lunch inside the second colonial house. - Finished with sugar cane and rum tasting at the same venue. A truly memorable day made possible by our excellent guide.

We visited the Aubineaux estate, the house and the garden. It was a unique and very enriching experience. Then, we went to the Domaine de Bois Cheri where we visited the factory and tasted the different teas. We had a great time. We had lunch at the St Aubin restaurant, a delicious meal on the terrace of the colonial pavilion, then tasted the rum. We regret not having visited the rum factory and the vanilla production, which was described in the tour. It's a shame ! We appreciated the explanations of our guide Ibrahim who is very friendly and friendly.

The tea and island tour was great. Ibrahim our guide was extremely kind and knowledgeable. He took us to places we would never have seen on our own. At one point, he even stopped the car, pulled over and cut a piece of sugar cane and allowed us to taste it. Overall, a very good tour.

We really liked our tour! Sailen was amazing; both with driving as with explaining. He could answer all of our questions, and bring his personal charm to it. The whole experience was so good that we booked another two tours, and we can definitely recommend it.

Ibrahim was a brilliant guide, taught us loads about the island ands its people. Great to see the tea and sugar plantations first hand
