High jumps and the spectacular final slide at Rudi's gorge hut make a tour in the Starzlachklamm gorge an unforgettable experience. Those who don't like it quite so wild are still in excellent hands here, as the parts that require the most courage are not compulsory.

Anyone who has followed the narrow path of the water through the Starzlachklamm gorge can get a rough idea of the unbridled energy with which the water has made its way down from the Grünten.

For the tourists walking up the gorge path, we are a real sensation and photo motif when canyoning a few meters below the path that has been painstakingly blasted into the mountain. However, while they only read about the power of the water and the numerous fossils in the Starzlachklamm gorge or catch a distant glimpse of them, we are right in the middle of it, in a fascinating world where we can brush our hands over water mills and stand on fossilized Nummulites while looking down an insane water slide...

Admission to the gorge is €3 per person (charged by the Sonthofen tourist office) and is included in the tour price.
Afterwards, you can stop for a bite to eat at Klammwirt Rudi or the nearby Seppl-Wirt, which serves hearty Bavarian cuisine in suitably large portions.
