Cappadocia: Hot Air Balloon Flight & Cappadocia Tour

7. Cappadocia: Hot Air Balloon Flight & Cappadocia Tour

Our flights are taking pace over the "Soğanlı Valley”, one of the newly discovered attractions for balloon flights. Soğanlı is a serene valley with courtyard monasteries and cave churches from the 10th and 11th centuries. Due to its new discovery, very few balloons get the chance to fly in this uniquely beautiful valley. As you fly over this valley, you can imagine the daily pursuits of the people who lived here in the past and admire these unique formations. It is a living history with its monasteries, caves and dovecotes built in the rocks. Your biggest advantages are that you can fly way more comfortably in 18-person baskets instead of 28-person baskets in terms of capacity and that you will accompany the first flights of this extraordinary valley, which has just been allowed for flights. The valley is forty kilometers southeast of Nevşehir, about 1-hour drive from Göreme. The valley rivals the Göreme Open Air Museum and Ihlara Valley in terms of historic importance and natural beauty but receives far fewer visitors. After the balloon ride, we'll take you back to your hotel and pick you up once again for the Cappadocia tour. During this tour you'll have the opportunity to learn about this region's unique geography, history, arts and crafts, culture and peoples.

What people are saying about Soğanlı Valley

The tour with Pupa Tours was well-organized and comprehensive. The staff was exceptionally kind, attentive, and always eager to address our inquiries. The balloon ride provided an absolutely breathtaking and unforgettable experience. However, there are certain aspects that could be improved. One issue was that our tours were swapped, resulting in the Goreme tour taking place after the balloon ride. Consequently, we had limited time to rest since the balloon ride required a 4 am pick-up, followed by the second tour starting at 9 am. Moreover, the chimneys tour felt somewhat repetitive, and some locations could have been omitted to enhance the overall experience. Additionally, unnecessary stops at a jewelry store, a pottery workshop, and a carpet shop were time-consuming, with persistent vendors making us feel pressured to make purchases. Lastly, I regret to inform that there were worms in the bread served at the restaurant Ailem, where we dined after visiting Belisirma Park.

Our two day trip to Cappadocia, was excellent. I highly recommend this company. Ali our guide was super, all transportation was on time. I have many friends that have plans to visit Turkey and I will blindly recommend to book with you. Ali went above and beyond to make our visit estupendous. It was my birthday on the 23 of June, Ali made my birthday worth It....the Hotel Cave was awesome. All the staff there was very nice and kind. We loved the restaurant on the top floor, food and drinks were super. I can't say enough of who great this experience was. We were a group of five and we all agreed when we visit again it will be thru your company. Ali was so knowledgeable and answered all our questions that we wouldn't want any other guide than him. Thanks Ali, will see you again.

We want to thank you for your good customer service and the excellent organisation of everything! We had no problem during our stay and everything worked out perfectly! The trips were well organised, the drivers always on time and the hot balloon trip was unforgettable! Keep on doing such a great job! 😊

A very complete activity to make the most of your time in Cappadocia. The accommodation was beautiful and the experience with the guide Güven was fabulous, who conveyed to us with great involvement and sympathy all the details (historical, geological, social...) of the area visited.

Me and my family had a beautiful trip in Kapadokia last week. We would like to say thank you because all the service and the organization was perfect. Also our italian guide was extremely nice and he made us more appasionate about the colture and history of that region.
