Our driver was punctual and very friendly, told us a lot along the way and answered our questions. The vehicle was a slightly older van but comfortable. In the caves themselves, you then join the normal large tourist groups after our driver has gotten our tickets (they alone are I think 7 or 8 euros pp) The caves themselves are quite nice, but nothing earth-shattering. But the guides there were great and there is a volcano center which you can visit afterwards and which is lovingly designed. Afterwards, our driver made a stop in the village of Sao Vicente and at a really beautiful vantage point and finally dropped us off at our desired location in Funchal!

The tour was very well organized and interesting. With Tony we had a guide who not only spoke many languages but could also tell so many interesting things about the nature and people of Madeira. We liked it very much, thank you very much.

The driver was on time and very nice. He showed us some highlights on the way there and back. The tour of the cave was interesting, but unfortunately the time for the exhibition on volcanism was far too short. Unfortunately, there was not enough time to read all the information boards.
