Just a short drive from Geysir, lies the immensely powerful waterfall, Gullfoss. This waterfall lies on the Hvitá river which itself is fed by meltwater from Langjökull glacier to the north. Here you are met first by the water mist from the falls before you even see them. Take the walking path down to the falls or stay to the higher path for a bird´s eye view. There is no wrong choice here. Thingvellir National Park is a UNESCO world heritage site. Here Icelanders met in an ancient parliament assembly, the longest continuous assembly is the world, though now located in Reykjavík. A brilliant tour to see some amazing sights around the Golden Circle - we really enjoyed every stop & are glad we got to see so much. The tomato greenhouse restaurant where we had lunch was so lovely - had a very delicious tomato soup and cheese board and a lovely glass of fizz. Our tour guide Petter was great and shared lots of interesting information as we drove, and was really knowledgeable, answering everybody’s questions really well. Only some people on the bus were booked to go to the Sky Lagoon at the end, but Petter dropped us there & arranged for another driver to come and pick us up later. The Sky Lagoon was amazing, such a tranquil experience and a brilliant way to end the day. Would recommend this tour as a great way to see some amazing sights if you aren’t driving.

Very enjoyable day trip. Our guide Darren and our driver Helgi were excellent. Darren gave us alot of interesting facts and stories bout Iceland along the way which made it more enjoyable. The sights were beautiful and being able to go to the Sky Lagoon at the end made for a relaxing end to the trip. All the transport to and from the destinations was on point (the morning to the Golden Circle coach was a little bit earlier than the given time but thankfully we had arrived earlier).

This was a really fun trip and a great way for a chance to see the northern lights. We were really lucky and did see the aurora! It was great that they provided us with giant warm Norwegian lifeguard overalls to put over our coats because it was a cold night.

We loved our trip ! Sights were amazing! So very well organised! Most importantly our driver was excellent! We learnt so much from him about the area & all the history. Thanks so much he definitely went the extra mile !

Glad we downloaded this app on our drive to south coast and Jokulrason glacier. It included several spots as well as information animals and the landscapes.
