The time allocated at each stop felt appropriate, allowing for a good balance of guided information and personal exploration, including the optional boat ride (€ 8.5/pp) at Matka, which I highly recommend. However, the meeting point for this tour left me quite puzzled and frustrated. We were instructed to meet at a specific location in the middle of a hill, which required passengers to climb up to reach the designated van. Given that the tour explicitly offered van transportation, it's genuinely baffling why the company wouldn't arrange a pick-up at ground level or a more easily accessible spot. It felt unnecessary and inconvenient, especially for anyone with mobility issues or carrying extra items.

super nice tour! price was super fair considering what you get. Tour guide was super informative and gave a lot of valuable information about Macedonia's history. I also appreciate the fact that we went first to the canyon to avoid the crowds. Totally worthy experience. my only suggestion if that there could be a stop for lunch, even meaning that the tour would take longer

Full description

Depart Skopje and travel in air-conditioned comfort to Vodno Mountain. Ride the cable car up to Millennium Cross on arrival, and enjoy panoramic views back across Skopje from one of the biggest Christian crosses in the world.

Take the cable car back down Vodno Mountain to continue to the mountain village of Gorno Nerezi by air-conditioned vehicle. Visit the small 12th-century Church of St. Panteleimon on arrival and marvel at the historical frescoes of Byzantine art inside.

Next, make your way to the Matka Canyon to enjoy a tasty lunch in a nice restaurant by the lake. Take an optional boat trip to the Vrelo cave or go for a nature walk along the many marked trails. Fill your lungs with fresh country air before the return trip to Skopje, and get dropped off at the triumphal arch of the Porta Macedonia on arrival.

We enjoyed the trip. Ms. Elvina shared a brief but interesting history of North Macedonia. The only downside was that the pickup location was a bit far, though that may have been due to logistical reasons.
