Full description

Escape from the city into nature on this half-day trip through the woods and pastures of Mount Vodno. Admire the scenic views over the Skopje valley from the Millennium cross and the nature reserve at Matka Canyon. Start your adventure with pickup at your hotel for the drive up Vodno Mountain. Enjoy a stop at the 576-high summit to take some photographs of the vista. After that we are going to the biggest cross in Europe, the Millennium cross. We are going to reach with the cable car (if the weather is good) to take panoramic view over the city and whole Skopje valley. Next, move into witness the 12th-century Church of Saint Panteleimon. Admire its famous Byzantine-style coloring and dramatic composition. Get ready for nature with your final stop at Matka Canyon. Feel the fresh air and be surrounded by mountains and breathtaking landscapes. While there, complete your experience by taking the opportunity to go an optional boat trip (additional expense).

It was a very nice day. Damir is an amazing guide, always full of stories to tell and eager to help. The pick up was on time, the van was great and fresh. The boat tour is very nice, the cave is OK, not amazing. We then took the cablecar to Vodno to see the Cross and it was also very nice. Highly recommend it! Two things: - bring cash to pay the boat and the cablecar - the tour took more than the 4 hours mentioned in the details, however, Damir asked if anyone had any kind of transport to catch so he could organize everything for it to end on time. In my group, since no one was in a rush, we arrived back at 3 PM +/-

The tour was very nicely organized, not too many stops along the way the guide was a knowledgeable warm person that made us feel very welcomed . The canion was a surprise: a lot less crowded than we expected a beautiful unspoiled place. We recommend to take the tour during the week.

La gita si compone così: Dopo il prelievo nel posto indicato si va a vedere con una funivia la croce posta sopra la collina. La guida spiega molte cose interessanti e si scende. 30 minuti. 1.50€ a persona Poi si va a vedere un bel monastero. Per l’entrata si pagano 2€ a testa. Anche qui la guida spiega molte belle cose. Successivamente si va a vedere il monte Vodno e il fiume. La gita in barca costa 8,50€ a persona e dura 1 ora. Avrei gradito che il prezzo comprendesse le attrazioni visitate.
