Begin your small-group tour by meeting at a central pick-up point in Ljubljana. Once you arrive, take a 2-hour guided tour of the Škocjan Caves. The Škocjan Caves are a unique natural phenomenon, created by the Reka River. The Reka River springs below the Snežnik plateau and flows for 55 kilometers (34 miles) on the surface. After reaching the karst — that is, the limestone surface — the river not only deepens its riverbed through erosion but also corrosion; it dissolves the limestone and creates the caves. Explore the Škocjan Caves with a local, English-speaking guide on this half-day trip from Ljubljana.
