What people are saying about Škocjan Caves

Overall rating

(25 reviews)

At first I was a bit worried about this tour because all my other tours' pickups were on the dot. However, due to circumstances it's possible it might be 15 minutes late, which happened this time. However, it turned out to be a great trip. We were a group of 4. Our tour guide Luka/Luca, was funny and knowledgeable. Despite the delayed pickup the itinerary still worked out perfectly as the tour factors in traffic and other possible delays on the road. We made it to Skocjan early and had time to view the surroundings. Note: the caves is quite a hike and there's no photography inside. It's a lot of walking with short rest breaks. Think of it as a gorge inside a cave, it's lovely. Then it was off to Piran. Our guide gave us a quick city tour and about 2 hours of free time, Piran is stunning. Note here: if the city is busy and you decide to eat at a nice place, you'll wait, and really have to rush for the free time, but the drive back is long so it has to be this way.

The tour was well-organized and covered all the key sights, but what truly made it exceptional was our tour guide, Emil. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone in the group felt included and informed. Emil shared fascinating stories and historical facts about each location, making the whole experience much more engaging. He was also attentive to individual needs, offering tips for photos and answering all our questions with a smile. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to get Emil as your guide!

Tomas is an excellent guide and a great human being. The trip was memorable, thanks to Tomas and the sunny day. I would highly recommend Tomas as the guide for such trips. We got enough time to visit multiple places and had good food. Skocjan caves is a must visit cave in Slovenia, very well maintained and the guide in the cave was superb. Piran is a beautiful coastal city (must visit) - closeness to both Croatia and Italy.

Breathtaking, the škocjan cave is a must visit in Slovenia, never seen something like this before My mom and I were the only two of the group, so luckily, our guide Emil customized the tour for us and took us to see the white horse, view point of Adriatic Sea and even the Predjama castle Emil is a really good guide with great knowledge of Slovenia

The driver was friendly and informative, in addition to be a good driver. Besides the caves and Piran, he also took us to a viewpoint that we can have a birds eye view of the gulf of trieste. The Skocjan caves are gigantically impressive. Piran is quaint and petite, great place to dip into the refreshing Adriatic water in the summer.
