We had a fantastic time getting to hike the glacier and learn more about the role that the ice has played in the geography/history of the country. The hike was challenging but manageable and the views were outstanding. Gustavo was our guide and he was wonderful - kept everyone safe, showed the group unique features, answered any questions, took pictures, and more. Make sure to get there on time and have your crampons adjusted correctly. Would highly recommend this experience if you have the time!

unique experience. to do 5 hours because that of 3 is limited as between dressing and trekking to get to the glacier it goes away more than an hour to go and almost the same for the return. trekking nn challenging for those who have a minimum of familiarity with hiking. recommended

Excellent tour with Troll experience. I would recommend anyone who cannot hold their pee for 5-6 hours to wear an adult diaper with no shame or consider not going on this tour as there is no way to go and you have to hold it. Our guide was David and he was friendly and professional. Did this in July 21 and had a good weather day. Due to Covid, we were asked to drive our own cars to the glacier parking lot instead of being cramped into a van like other tours did to their customers. I really really appreciate this arrangement. We had 10 on our group. We were taught to wear crampons and use ice axe. David explained various glaciers goes activities and took pictures for us. My only suggestion is that perhaps the walking speed was a bit fast. We (two 33 year old reasonably fit adults) were able to keep up but others in the group and guide walked very fast still. I was the only other person in the group whose is shorter than 5"7 or 5"8 so I had to stride bigger to keep up!
