Purchased tickets evening before visit and tickets received early morning in plenty of time. As others have said, there is no skip the line queing so could buy tickets cheaper at gate but with no guarantee of available time slots. Gardens were within easy walking distance from train station and wonderful, particularly the well and tunnels. Food and drink available at on- site cafe. We spent 3.5 hours on our visit. Highly recommended.

On a day that it was extremely busy and sold out when we got there, getting tickets ahead of time was great. It's more expensive than buying it there but it does ensure getting timed tickets. I would definitely do it again. it's such a beautiful and magical place!
