My wife & I booked Arthur for a four hour “street food” tour while we were in Singapore early January, 2023. Arthur arrived at our Conrad hotel, on time & reviewed our very fun, interesting & delicious itinerary. Arthur was very knowledgeable about the local island history, customs & diverse culture of folks inhabiting the island. We headed to three historical sections where we sampled the delicious foods & drinks that he purchased for us to sample he would share local information about the current government’s policies & how they impacted the locals. Arthur gave us quiet time to enjoy the foods after explaining the food’s origins. Arthur was kind enough to allow us a little shopping time to buy couple of forgotten items for our cruise. We definitely recommend Arthur highly for his tour services & very warm & patient attitude. He took several photos for us when our phones died & sent them to us later! Yes, hire Arthur if you can.

If you want the typical mainstream meals like chicken rice, biryani, laksa etc, go to any hawker place and order it yourself. If you want to try culturally significant dishes that only the locals know as well as a historical breakdown of Singapore’s three main districts in the same tour, give this one a try. You’ll leave the tour more culturally rich and with a full stomach to boot. Had a great time!

This tour was wonderful. William was so lovely and informative. He took us to some beautiful places with delicious food. One thing to check - Getyourguide provided us with the wrong meeting point information so do be sure to contact William ahead of time to double check this (They also provided William with incorrect contact details for us so he couldn't get in touch beforehand!) or maybe book directly via the WithLocals app as this seems to work much better than Getyourguide!
