Just two hours from the city, the wonderful path begins. Though not a far drive from the city, the trail seems like it is in the middle of nowhere, as you traverse from ridge to ridge. The scenic Singalila Ridge connects the grand Himalayas of Nepal to India. The highlight of the trek is walking this ridge to Sandakphu (3,636 meters 11,929 feet) the highest point in West Bengal, where you get jaw-dropping views of the highest peaks on the planet. Rise from your peaceful slumber at Sandakphu and make a short climb to a viewpoint. From here, see Mount Everest (8,848 meters), Kanchenjunga (8,586 meters), Lhotse (8,516 meters), and Makalu (8,481 meters) in all their glory. It is truly one of the best if not the best mountain view in India. Where else can you see 4 of the 5 highest peaks in the world in one sweeping view? On this 6-day adventure, you emerge from a peaceful forest onto an exposed ridge that presents breathtaking views of 4 of the 5 highest mountains in the world. You can’t get a view like this anywhere else. The jungles in the lowland house an array of rare flora and fauna that you never knew existed. Singalila National Park is one of the few places on the planet where you can get a glimpse of the Red Panda. Though there are only known to be about 32 of these elusive critters in the park, you may also spot the Himalayan black bear, leopard, pangolin, wild boar, chinkara, barking deer, and dozens of bird species. You can also expect to hike through verdant forests of bamboo, rhododendron, and oak trees. Few visitors trek in Singalila National Park, so you’ll find peace and quiet on the trail. Darjeeling Tonglu two two-day trek for the best ever experience with excellent panoramic views of Mt Kanchenjunga and Everest family range that are absolutely spectacular within a short span of two days. What you can expect besides the views of mountains is a mesmerising view of a valley from above the mountain which is absolutely breathtaking you can also explore the culture and tradition of the local people of the mountain. If the weather permits then one can witness the landscapes of two different countries (India and Nepal) from the border, where on one side we see a beautiful forest area and at the other side there are village settlements. Full description : Day 01 : We meet at 6 am at our office location Ashmita Trek & Tours. The guide will pick you up Then you will then drive for two hours to the small village of Dhotrey, passing through Manebhanjyang. Dhotrey is situated at an altitude of 8,500 feet. Upon reaching Dhotrey, your trek begins, taking you through a dense forest filled with stunning rhododendron trees as you head towards the next destination, Tonglu. The distance between Dhotrey and Tonglu is 6 km. Tonglu is located at an altitude of 10,130 feet (3,070meters). On a clear day, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga snow peaks from Tonglu. Overnight stay. Day 02 : Start the day with an early wake-up to witness the sunrise from Tonglu Top. If the weather is favorable, you'll enjoy stunning vistas of the Singalila and Chola ranges, along with Mount Kanchenjunga. Head back to Tonglu for breakfast, and afterwards, follow the path through the small village of Megma, situated on the India-Nepal border and referred to as the "god of cloud"—it's about 4 kilometers from Tonglu. Continue through Lamhaydhura and Chitrey, ultimately reaching your final destination, Maneybhanjang, another 7km trek where you'll meet your driver for the return trip to Darjeeling.
