Day 1: Arrival in Bucharest
Upon landing at Bucharest Airport, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a delightful welcome dinner and rest overnight in the capital city.
Day 2: Bucharest – Sibiu – Bazna
Journey through the scenic Olt River Valley, pausing at Cozia Monastery, one of Romania’s oldest religious sites. Continue to Sibiu, a former European Capital of Culture, where you’ll explore its charming squares, Liars Bridge, and the Orthodox Cathedral. End the day in Bazna, where you’ll stay overnight.
Day 3: Bazna – Biertan – Sighisoara – Bazna
Discover the Saxon heritage of Transylvania with a visit to Biertan’s impressive fortified church. Next, wander through the medieval streets of Sighisoara, birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, and admire its Gothic, Baroque, and Renaissance landmarks. Conclude the day with a carriage ride to Boian’s fortified church before returning to Bazna.
Day 4: Bazna – Campulung Moldovenesc
Travel from Transylvania to Bucovina, stopping in Targu Mures to admire its grand Orthodox Cathedral and Culture Palace. Visit Bistrita, home to the tallest church tower in Romania, before heading to the stunning Moldovita Monastery in the afternoon. Overnight in Campulung Moldovenesc.
Day 5: Campulung Moldovenesc – Predeal
Explore the renowned Voronet Monastery, famous for its vivid blue frescoes. Drive through the breathtaking Bicaz Gorge and stop at the picturesque Red Lake, formed in 1838. Cross into eastern Transylvania and settle in Predeal for the night.
Day 6: Predeal – Brasov – Harman – Predeal
Step back in time in Brasov, a city founded by the Teutonic Knights. Visit the Black Church, stroll along the medieval fortifications, and see the narrow Rope Street. Later, head to Harman to explore its fortified church, once a shelter for villagers. Return to Predeal for another overnight stay.
Day 7: Predeal – Bran – Sinaia – Bucharest
Begin your day with a visit to Bran Castle, famously linked to Dracula legends. Then, travel to Sinaia to admire the stunning exterior of Peles Castle, the former royal summer retreat. Arrive in Bucharest in the late afternoon, where you’ll cap off the journey with a festive dinner and folklore show at "Hanul lui Manuc."
Day 8: Bucharest & Departure
Enjoy a guided tour of Bucharest, visiting key landmarks such as the Patriarchal Church, Village Museum, and the monumental Palace of Parliament. Stroll down the grand boulevards, stopping at the Triumphal Arch before transferring to the airport for your flight home.
