Full description
Enhance your St. Maarten holiday with a full-day sail to the gorgeous and unspoiled islands of sun and sand – Anguilla and Prickly Pear. The Lambada has a 17-year history of party boat fun, family gatherings, and an outstanding crew, and is always a top-ranked excursion. Departing from Simpson Bay Resort, the Lambada sails up the west coast of St. Maarten, and from Plum Point across the channel, and to Prickly Pear Island for snorkeling. Non-swimmers can also enjoy the beach and shallow clear water! Roy's new Bayside Grill at Road Bay will be the lunch stop. Choose the BBQ chicken, fish, or ribs buffet, and then enjoy some free time beach combing, swimming, or relaxing in the sun. Road Bay Beach is long and has a number of small beach bars and guesthouses. Like all the beaches on Anguilla, the sand is white and the waters a breathtaking turquoise blue. During the nice leisurely sail back you’ll be treated to foot-tapping Caribbean rhythms and a tasty rum punch.

It was a great experience. The crew are friendly, pleasant, funny and helpful. There was plenty to drink, we had snacks on the boat, lunch was very tasty. With every stop you get enough time to enjoy and experience. The best thing was sailing back, then there was enough wind and the engine was switched off and we went sailing a lot. Super!!!

Amazing Captain and Crew

I wish I had read the activity closer because I didn't realize it was mostly about the snorkeling. The water was too choppy at Prickly Pear that we couldn't even take the dinghy to the beach. Being a non-snorkeler, that was what was going to be fun for me. Even some of the snorkelers were having trouble. The beach in Anguilla was very pretty and the BBQ lunch at Roy's Place on the beach was very very good. The most enjoyment I had was watching Justine, one of the crew members, snag a pretty sizeable Mahi Mahi and learning about pouring rum down the fish throat to stop them from struggling. My husband got sick on the way back and forgot his glasses on the boat and the crew had put them up and kept them until we got back to claim them. Although the crew and the catamaran itself was very nice, they served snacks on the trip out and the return trip, the all you can drink bar kept it flowing. But, because I don't really snorkel I would probably not do this activity again.

The trip was a very enjoyable experience where new friends were made.

The only negative aspect was that we were told that we had to be there at 8:00 am sharp where we did not board the boat until 8:50. We stood in the hot sun watching the crew get the boat ready. They should have had the boat ready prior to our arrival. Other than that The Day of Sailing was wonderful the crew was great, The people on board were all about having fun and we did. All Day Long!
