Begin your private adventure with hotel pick up from Taormina or Giardini Naxos. Relax on the drive over regular and unpaved roads as you ascend the extinct craters that sit at an altitude of 2,000 meters. 

Walk through lunar landscapes on Europe's highest active volcano at a UNESCO-listed site and view ancient lava flow. Admire the Etna forest, the Valley of Bove, and extinct craters.

Put on your helmet and headlamp and make your way through a long, underground tunnel, formed by lava flow. Ascend the summit area at 3,0000 meters where you can purchase a cable car ticket on the spot. Be dropped off at your hotel at the end of your tour.

Had a lovely trip! We were picked up in Central Taormina and stopped on the way at a wonderful viewpoint. Very knowledgeable guide who showed us around a cave and many other places on our way up to Etna. Then we walked around on the volcano and saw huge craters and old lava flows. It was wonderful! :)

We have 2 small children and didn’t want huge hikes in a big group so opted for a private tour instead- and this turned out to be a great decision. The whole experience was fantastic. Our guide, Rosario, was a gentleman, an excellent guide and he even managed to get everyone to the summit (something we would never have done by ourselves). Seeing Etna was magical, a not too miss experience. We would highly recommend this tour.
