Full description
This wetsuit snorkeling tour in Silfra fissure located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Thingvellir National Park is an out of this world adventure and a hidden natural wonder, where the 100 meter underwater visibility and bright colors make the experience almost unrealistic. The pristine water in Silfra is one of the purest and clearest waters you’ll find on the planet. When snorkeling in Silfra, you are traveling between two continents, ending the tour in a lagoon often called "the real blue lagoon" because of the bright blue color of the water. Snorkeling in Silfra fissure, where you are guided into this magnificent scenery is a total must-see for all nature and adventure thirsty individuals and groups. You have more freedom in terms of movements and are able to free dive by holding your breath. You will stay dry underneath your drysuit or, for the more adventurous, choose the wetsuit to feel the natural cool waters. The wetsuits used are 6 millimeter in thickness and isolate the body well from the cold water.

Wonderful dive. I was very apprehensive before going because the water temperature was 2.5 °. But finally I'm glad I did. We were very well equipped, I kept my clothes on, plus a padded suit and another waterproof. Result I was not cold at all. In addition, the drysuit made me float. I felt very safe. The water was crystal clear and pure (and delicious, yes don't forget to drink it and fill your gourds if you pass by). It was magnificent and very emotional. We were swimming between two tectonic plates, in a no man's land. To do once in a lifetime. Thank you Alberto and Luis, our guides

A trip out to the Silfra crevasse, 3 people, two adults and our daughter of 14 - snorkeled under the expert guidance of Alberto. All the 4 guides that we met out there at the Silfra crevasse were all sweet and very accommodating. The trip out there can definitely be recommended

Luis was amazing, hilarious and extremely helpful the entire tour. He picked me in at the bus stop for the transfer out to silfra and was very kind. As far as the dry suit... I felt a tad claustrophobic so might’ve done the wet suit had I known better. Regardless, it was an incredible experience and Luis was great.
