Undergo a unique underwater experience by snorkeling in the Silfra fissure on a half-day tour from Reykjavik. Frequently rated as one of the world's top 10 dive sites, Silfra offers up to 100 m (300 ft) of underwater visibility. Admire views of Iceland's stunning landscape as you ride from Reykjavik to the heart of Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO-listed World Heritage Site. Snorkel in this location for 1 hour with your guide, before returning to the warmth of the tour van and heading back to Reykjavik. The cold waters melt off a glacier 50 km (30 miles) away, and make their way through lava fields to beautiful Thingvellir Lake. Definitely worth a snorkel to do in Iceland. You don’t see something like this elsewhere. The water is crystal clear with almost no fish visible. It’s something quite unique between the tectonic plates of Europe and America. However it’s mighty cold but surprisingly you adjust to do. Make sure to bring thermal layers for underneath your wetsuit. They wouldn’t get wet but they are necessary.

A wonderful experience !! Thanks to the dry suits you really stay dry for the most part, so that you only freeze a bit on your head and hands. The water is crystal clear and has beautiful blue-green colors! Swimming between two continental plates is simply a unique experience!

Was awesome, great guide, very easy and efficient transfers, and an amazing experience! Would highly recommend, we stayed dry, our faces were cold initially but other than that really nothing to worry about!

The most amazing water colors The cold is super bearable since it’s just in your toes and fingers… you’re lips get super funny.. natural Botox ;) Anna was the best Loved it

Special experience, Chico was a great guide. It’s seriously cold whilst getting ready and waiting to get into the Silfra. Once you’re in the water you actually warm up!
