Day 1: Two Castles and Brasov Today, you will head towards Transylvania region and cross the mighty Carpathian Mountains on your way. You will arrive in the mountain resort of Sinaia and visit the impressive Peles Castle. Next, you will arrive in Bran village, where Romania’s most visited sight awaits you - Dracula Castle. Your next stop will be in Brasov, where you will enjoy a guided city tour and visit the famous Black Church - the largest in country. Accommodation will follow in Brasov city. Note: Peles Castle and the Black Church are closed on Mondays, so you will visit Rasnov Citadel and the orthodox church in Brasov instead. Day 2: Heart of Transylvania   In the morning after breakfast, you will visit the unique Sighisoara Citadel with the famous Dracula house. Next, arrive in Biertan, where you will see the biggest fortified church in Romania. Then, head towards Sibiu city, one of the most beautiful in Transylvania. You will visit the astonishing Old Town and the beautiful Gothic church, one of the tallest in the country. End your day in Sibiu city. Day 3: Southern Transylvania  In the morning after your breakfast, start your way back to the capital city. Your journey will continue on toward the beautiful Olt Valley and make a stop by the charming Cozia Orthodox Monastery. Once you emerge from the mountains, stop in Curtea de Arges, once the capital of Vallachia and the headquarters of Romanian rulers. Here, you will see the beautiful Curtea de Arges Monastery, one of the most representative of the Romanian authentic style, and also the official burial place for the Kings and Queens of Romania. Arrive in Bucharest in the evening with a private drop-off at your hotel.  

After you buy the quest, receive an access code that you can use in the app. Begin your quest around Sighisoara's magnificent fortress by solving clues that will unlock stories, all on your smartphone. Along the way, discover fascinating stories of the towers, buildings, and people of Sighisoara. Follow a less crowded path around the old citadel, explore hidden passages, and discover amazing life stories of the ancient locals. The entire game will take you from 1.5 to 2 hours to complete, but there’s no time limit, you can finish it at your own pace. You won’t need a guide, just download the app, go to the starting point and you're ready to begin your city exploration adventure. For larger groups, one person can purchase access for the entire group by selecting the number of people in the group. All group members will be able to play the city game on their smartphone. Alternatively, each person can purchase their own voucher. You can play as a group and solve the clues together as you walk, or you can split into smaller groups/teams and compete against the others. Each person can also play on their own, separate from the group, and meet the group at the end.

On your first day, start your tour in the morning at 08:00 AM with pickup from your hotel. Then head towards the Transylvania Region and cross the mighty Carpathian Mountains on your way. On your second day, start in the morning after breakfast with a visit to the unique Sighisoara Citadel and the famous Dracula House. Next, visit Biertan, where you will see the biggest fortified church in Romania! Then make your way towards Sibiu City, one of the most beautiful cities in Transylvania. Visit its astonishing Old Town and afterwards continue to the beautiful Olt Valley, where you will make a final stop by the charming Cozia Orthodox Monastery. Arrive back in Bucharest in the evening, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.

Join your guide for a two-day tour through the castles of Transylvania, from early medieval stone fortifications to modern, lavish royal summer residences. Depart from Cluj and head to Sighișoara. Admire the most beautiful medieval townscape in the country, so picturesque and authentic that it's often used as a film set. Visit the Clock Tower, the Church on the Hill, the Citadel, the fortified walls and towers of the town, as well as the birthplace of the Wallachian leader Vlad Dracul, who later became known as Count Dracula in Gothic literature and film. Then travel to Râșnov Castle, a 14th century fortress built by Teutonic Knights to withstand invasion from Turks and Tartars. More a fortified village than a military outpost, Râșnov was built to protect common people from attacks and contained everything a small community of village people would need in order to survive a long siege. Learn how the castle was put to use through the centuries, undergoing several periods of reconstruction. Afterwards, head to Bran Castle, also known as Dracula's Castle. Let historical fact and fiction combine as you take in the atmosphere of the place where Bram Stoker's famous early 20th century novel was set and learn about its history as the homestead of Vlad the Impaler and an important defense of the trade route between Transylvania and Walachia. Enjoy plenty of time to explore the most visited attraction in Romania, including the Bran Castle Museum. Afterwards, have dinner and head to your accommodation in Bran for the night. On day two, things get more modern with a visit to Peleș Palace, the summer residence of the Romanian royal family (and one of the most beautiful royal summer residences in Europe). Wander through a unique a modern palace built at the end at the 19th century to resemble castles from the late Middle Ages. Spot artistic masterpieces like the fresco by Gustav Klimt scattered throughout its generously furnished rooms. Then head to Kalnoky Castle, a 17th century countryside castle belonging to a family of Hungarian noblemen. Admire the true melting pot of styles that coalesce in a castle built with a mixture of late Renaissance and neoclassical architecture, surrounded by a 19th century English-style park. Drive back to Cluj later in the afternoon where your tour ends.

Day 1: Bucharest Your guide will welcome you to the Otopeni International Airport, where you will then be transferred to your 4-star hotel in downtown Bucharest. Day 2: Bucharest - Sibiu Your day begins in Bucharest with a panoramic tour of the city. You will encounter such sites as Free Press Square, the Arch of Triumph, Victory Square and Avenue, the Royal Palace, Revolution Square, the Village Museum, one of the most impressive open-air museums in Europe and the Palace of Parliament. You will also experience the world’s largest, heaviest and most expensive administrative building. Next, you can enjoy some free time for lunch in the amazing old town, before your tour continues with the Cozia Monastery, the oldest and most complex historical monument in Romania. You will then depart from Bucharest to the Medieval city of Sibiu, where you will be accommodated in a 4-star hotel. Day 3: Sibiu - Alba Iulia - Hunedoara - Sibiu After breakfast in your hotel, you will explore Sibiu’s Medieval charm with a walking tour through the old city center. After this, you will travel by modern bus to the beautiful city of Alba Iulia to visit the unique Alba Carolina Fortress, the largest and best-preserved fortress in Romania. Following lunch, your tour will take you to the Hunedoara region, where you can visit Hunyad Castle, a Gothic-Renaissance castle and one of the largest and most impressive castles in Europe. You will then spend the night in the same accommodation as your previous evening in Sibiu. Day 4: Sibiu - Turda - Sighisoara After breakfast on your final day in Sibiu, you will travel to the town of Turda to visit the salt mine, an impressive underground complex with history going back to Roman times and unique hypogeal scenery. After this journey to the center of the earth, your tour of Transylvania continues with Sighisoara, one of the most beautiful and best-preserved Medieval towns in Europe, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At the conclusion of day 4, you will spend the night in a 4-star hotel in Sighisoara. Day 5: Sighisoara - Viscri - Brasov Day 5 begins with breakfast in your hotel, before a city tour of Sighisoara, a stunning medieval town and the birthplace of Dracula. Next, the tour takes you to Viscri village, another UNESCO World Heritage Site of unspoiled beauty and serenity that fascinated the Prince of Wales so deeply that he bought and restored a house there. From Viscri, your tour of Transylvania continues with another amazing Medieval city of Brasov that you will explore with a walking tour. You will later spend the night in Brasov. Day 6: Brasov - Zarnesti - Bran - Rasnov - Brasov Following breakfast in the hotel, you will travel to Zarnesti for an amazing experience, a visit to Bears Libearty Sanctuary where rescued bears live in their natural environment. Next on your adventure, you will arrive in Bran where you will visit the world famous Dracula Castle and have lunch in this intriguing land in the heart of Transylvania. You will also visit and explore the impressive hilltop Rasnov Fortress, before returning to Brasov for another night in your Brasov accommodation. Day 7: Brasov - Sinaia - Bucharest After breakfast, you will travel to Sinaia, known as the "Pearl of the Carpathians”, where you will visit the Sinaia Monastery and one of the most stunning castles in Europe, Pele's Castle. From here, you will return to Bucharest and check into your 4-star hotel for the last evening of your tour. Day 8: Bucharest Following breakfast on the last day of the tour, you can enjoy free time and explore more sights in this dynamic city that proudly displays its history alongside modern culture. You will be transferred to the airport, having created amazing memories of your time exploring Transylvania.

Day 1: Bucharest, Sighisoara At 10:00 AM, your English-speaking guide will collect you from Moxa Boutique Hotel. From here transfer to the Medieval Saxon Citadel of Sighisoara, founded by Saxons during the 12th century. Sighisoara is also the place where Vlad the Impaler, the Romanian ruler also known as Dracula, was born. That evening, get ready for a Halloween party. You can enjoy a delicious traditional Romanian festive dinner, washed down with fiery spirits and excellent Romanian wine. During dinner, you can enjoy a special program including the Killing of the Living Dead ritual and many more. That evening, spend the night in a 3-star hotel located in the very heart of the Medieval citadel. Day 2: Sighisoara, Brasov, and Bran Your first stop of the day will be to the Medieval Saxon City of Brasov, one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe, and home to the impressive Black Church. Here you can also explore Transylvania’s famous symbol, Bran Castle, which owes its fame to both its unique charm, and to the myth Bram Stoker created around Dracula. The impressive edifice dates back to 1377, and Queen Maria of Romania, the niece of Queen Victoria of Great Britain, turned the castle into a beautiful summer residence. Cheese tasting here is strongly recommended, as the village is renowned for the delicious homemade traditional cheese assortments produced here. That evening, you can prepare for an ultimate Halloween party at Bran Castle, also known as Dracula’s Castle. You will enjoy an unforgettable night tour of the castle, meeting wicked fairies and getting lost in euphoric dance along with a glass of local red wine. Later on in the night, there will be an after-party in the castle's courtyard until 4:00 AM. Day 3: Bran and Bucharest Transfer to Bucharest Airport for your journey home, arriving in Bucharest after 5:00 PM (depending on traffic).

Discover Sighisoara, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its medieval fortress, which is still inhabited to this day. Learn about the fortress’ history, from its construction in 1280 to the history of the site it was built upon. View the former Saxon settlement and its famously well preserved walled Old Town, which earned Sighisoara its distinction as a UNESCO site. Experience the beauty of Rupea Fortress, recently restored in 2014 and originally built by the Saxons and first documented in the 1300s. Learn about the history of the surrounding site, one of the oldest archaeological sites in Romania, where signs of human settlement date back to 5500 BC - 3500 BC. Travel to Viscri (Deustchweisskirch), known throughout Europe because Prince Charles purchased a house in the village in 1996. Visit the village, which attracts 15,000 tourists annually and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take in Viscri’s beautiful sights while learning about its history as a former Saxon village. See the famous Viscri fortified church, originally built in 1100.

Day 1 After getting picked up from your hotel in Cluj-Napoca, begin your journey towards the south of Transylvania. Spend the first half of the discovering the region's fortresses and castles. At your first stop of the day, Alba Carolina Fortress, learn more about the fortress' cleverly-designed defense mechanisms and architecture, as well as admiring its breathtaking beauty. Next, head to the Gothic masterpiece that is Corvin Castle. Wander through the castle's impressive Knight's Hall, which was used for feasts and banquets, the ceremony hall and the circular stairway.  Finish your day in Sibiu, the former European Union’s Cultural Capital and one of Transylvania's best-preserved cities. On a guided city tour, explore the Main Squares, as well as the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Bridge of Lies. At the end of the tour, your guide will leave you at the hotel and you will be free to spend the rest of the day at your leisure.  Day 2 With yesterday's visits to Alba Carolina and Corvin Castle fresh in your mind, deepen your knowledge of Transylvanian fortresses with a visit to Biertan Fortified Church. Admire the impressive fortifications and defense mechanisms of this 13th-century fortress.  Next, head to the highlight of the day, Sighișoara, the only inhabited medieval fortress included in UNESCO World Heritage Centre, and home to real-life notorious ruler Vlad Tepes, also known as Dracula. Get dropped off at your preferred location in Cluj-Napoca at the end of the day.
