Following pickup from Granada city center, travel by 4x4 vehicle towards the towering peaks of the nearby mountains north of the city. Explore the wonders of Los Cahorros, a route much appreciated by hikers, who have in expereince in the Sierra Nevada National Park. Travel from Granada to Los Cahorros de Monachil to enjoy this easy, family-friendly walk with a guide. Be picked up in Granada and in just a 20-minute drive arrive in Monachil. Start your hike on a route that allows you to view the most beautiful features of the Sierra Nevada National Park. Stroll along the Monachil river, crossing its suspension bridges. Adventure into the interior of the canyon and also through a narrow cave-like tunnel before finally reaching a little-known path at the top of the canyon with incredible views. This path will take you through some of the most spectacular landscapes in Andalusia. Keep your energy up along the way with a piece of fruit or a cereal bar. Return to Granada at the end of your walking adventure. Let yourself be fascinated by this route that you can enjoy at any time of the year. In summer, you can start in the morning, where the walk will be bearable and you will enjoy pleasantly warm weather for the first 30 minutes. Afterwards, the landscape transforms into a cool area, with the river bank as a companion and the shade of the trees to shelter you. In spring, you will witness an impressive spectacle, with lush greenery that embraces the entire river and the pleasant singing of the birds that celebrate in this place. In autumn, the strong colors will hypnotize you, creating a unique and captivating landscape. After being collected from Granada city center, you will be driven to 2,500 meters above sea level to the top of the Sierra Nevada Road. From here you will head to the most beautiful glacier valley of Sierra Nevada, San Juan Valley. Here you will learn how the ice has been excavating the rocks throughout thousand of years. You will also encounter beautiful llwaterfalls, and shiny rocks, as well as wildlife such as mountain goats, eagles, birds migrating from Africa, and insects and plants that only exist here. This hike goes off the beaten path., getting an elevation of more than 3000 meters (10000 ft) to the top of Tajos del Campanario, from where we will admire the dramatic north face of Muhacen(the highest peak in the Iberian peninsula), Veleta and Alcazaba, excavated by the largest glaciers in Sierra Nevada.Your guide knows the best secret spots in Sierra Nevada after more than 30 years hiking here. Your guide will establish an easy pace for the group, offering several stops to rest and enjoy the views; participants have to have a moderate physical level, but they don’t have to be super strong or experienced hikers.

Spend a day skiing or snowboarding in the stunning Sierra Nevada. Experience the thrill of gliding down the mountainside as a professional instructor helps you master your technique. This fantastic experience is suitable for all skill levels. Meet at the local partner’s shop to be fitted for your equipment before hitting the slopes in a 2-hour group class. After your lesson, spend the rest of the day on the slopes to practice your skills, with the skiing or snowboarding equipment included throughout the day.

Get picked up from one of the convenient meeting points and dropped off in the city center to explore at your own pace. After getting picked up from your chosen meeting point in Malaga, Torremolinos, Benalmadena, or Fuengirola, begin the journey to Granada. Take in views of the Sierra Nevada mountain range and stop for breakfast along the way (not included in tour price). Upon arrival in Granada, enjoy up to five hours of free time to explore the city at your own pace. You could admire the Renaissance architecture of the Cathedral of Granada or visit the Moroccan tea shops on Calle Elvira for a mint tea or lemonade. Alternatively, spend the day exploring Granada's renowned tapas bars. The streets surrounding Plaza Nueva and Calle Elvira are buzzing with traditional bars where a free tapa is served with every drink. If the Alhambra is on your bucket list, you could use your free time to visit the Nasrid Palaces and Generalife. You could also wander through the streets of the Albaicin and take in panoramic views from Mirador San Nicolas or get lost in the streets of Sacromonte, the cradle of gypsy culture, and listen to the sound of flamenco music floating down the hills. At the end of the day, meet your guide back at the meeting point and hop back on the bus for the journey back to your pickup point.

Rent skiing or snowboarding equipment for a day to discover the wonderful landscape of the Sierra Nevada. Soak in panoramic views as you glide down the mountains outside of Granada. Head to the local partner’s store to collect your medium-high range equipment. Once you’ve been kitted out, spend the rest of the day on the slopes and experience the thrill of skiing or snowboarding.

After this stop we will continue to the magical villages of Pampaneira, where you can have a full hour of free time to explore, Pitres, and make a must stop in Portugos, in Fuente Agria (Fountain of Sourness), the crystal clear mineral waters flow through the Sierra Nevada, traditionally, this water was used by the mountain villagers in las Alpujarras for medicinal purposes due to the high concentration of minerals in the water. Visit Trevelez, the highest village in Spain and widely known for its exquisite Iberian hams, enjoy a tasting of locally made products in Trevelez. Finally continue to Bubion and Capileira, dominating from its height the valley of Barranco del Poqueira, the heart of the charming and picturesque villages, where you'll enjoy breathtaking views and a traditional lunch if you choose this option.
