What to Expect
The Phnom Kulen mountain is one of the most important religious sites in Cambodia and is considered the birthplace of the Khmer Empire. The treasures hidden in the lush expanse of the mountains offer countless opportunities to immortalize images for posterity.
The day begins at 09:00 at your hotel in Siem Reap, with pick-up in an air-conditioned vehicle or an open Jeep upon request. On the 90-minute drive to the mountain, see the beautiful Cambodian landscape with its rice fields, palm trees and little villages.
Once you've arrived in Phnom Kulen, take time to see the temple and get a look at daily life for the locals, before heading on to the 1000 Lingas river. The high point of this tour is perhaps the breathtaking waterfall at Phnom Kulen. In the midst of a verdant environment, the water descends from a point up to 20 meters high.
Get advice from a professional photographer about how to use different exposure times for incredible effects. The waterfalls are beloved by the locals and occasionally used for bathing – should you want a cool way to relax, don't forget to being a bathing suit and towel.
After a day of photos and water fun, return to your hotel in the afternoon.
