I had the pleasure of joining the Asean Angkor guide tour with Mr. Ho, and I can confidently say he’s the best guide I’ve had in Cambodia so far. He is incredibly kind and also a professional photographer—the best I’ve encountered on any tour throughout Asia. As a solo traveler, I deeply appreciated his ability to capture amazing photos for me. He provided a wealth of information and even showed me some hidden spots (which I won’t spoil—go see for yourself!). Opting for the e-bike was the best choice, especially since some parts of the route take you through the forest, adding a special charm to the experience. The food was served with a beautiful view, making the entire day even more memorable. I highly recommend this tour!

The day trip was amazing we got to see the sun rise at Siem Reap, and visited the ruins. What an amazing place! 🤯 After we went for the eBikes and have a drive to have breakfast, at a local delicious place. 🤤 Then we went to see the other 2 temples (also amazing), finally they took us for a cold coconut and the day was done. The experience was awesome! Our tour guide was Makara a really nice guy super well prepared with a great attitude, super helpful and with an a deep knowledge. He explained everything in a fluent English and took us through the jungle, next to the temples in our eBikes. The Tuktuk guy, (how is the transport, form the pickup point to Siem Reap) was really gentle, attentive and helpful as well! Always willing to give you some cool water and towels to refresh yourself. And also watching your back when ridding the eBike 😅 Overall it was a great experience! I recommend it 100% and will be willing to doing it again for sure. The eBikes where in perfect state.

Full description

Depart at 4:40 am by riding Tuk Tuk with our professional English speaking tour guide to the sunrise at Angkor Wat temple. It takes about 20 minutes to ride from the city center to the temple and we may spend about 1-hour and 30 minutes to explore the whole entire building of Angkor Wat temple, and then start riding the e-bike to the Preah Dak village for our breakfast where you can enjoy of taste authentic Cambodian breakfast like Khmer rice noodle with fish green curry soup and traditional desserts like palm cake and steam rice dumplings with palm sugar. Before seeing our next temples, explore the interesting local market in Siem Reap and walk in between food stalls to look for the best Cambodian specialties, where you can try Cambodian dishes such as sticky rice, cakes, fruits, egg noodles, or even fried spiders and scorpion. After that, we continue to visit the jungle temple of Ta Prohm and Ta Nei which has been left in its original state and is partly overgrown with trees and huge roots, and then go to visit Bayon temple and the Victory gate of Angkor Thom, which has become a world-famous landmark and was built by King Jayavarman VII, who was also a Mahayana Buddhist. Bayon is also the only monastery that has survived to this day and was used as a place for worship, education, and administration. Then transfer you back to Siem Reap city from Angkor Park by Tuk Tuk ride.

The tour was well operated from start to finish! I loved the itinerary of this tour to incorporate stops in the village, local food, while being adventurous on an e-scooter! It was great quality throughout & I learned so much. We only had a short time in Cambodia and I highly recommend to take on your first day at Angkor Wat. We got picked up by tuk-tuk, whose driver stayed with us throughout the tour & provided us with cold water at several stops. Our guide was Raman, who was so friendly and knowledgeable. He provided much information - we left our tour with a much better understanding of Cambodia’s history and current society. A lovely fruit basket and coconuts wrapped up the tour. The e-scooters were very easy to ride on the roads. Some of the roads to the temples or gates are very rocky and sandy. If you mountain bike, you’ll be fine - but I would be concerned for someone who may not be comfortable. Since the tuk-tuk travels around with you, that was alway a back up in case.
