Full description
Your tour will begin with your being picked up from your accommodation by an English-speaking driver in a vintage American war Jeep. This jeep (official name M151 "MUTT") was developed with guidance from the US Army's Ordnance Truck Automotive Command. Design started in 1951, with testing and prototyping lasting through most of the fifties. Although the M151 was developed and initially produced by Ford, production contracts for the M151A2 were later also awarded to Kaiser Jeep and AM General Corp. First put into service in Vietnam, the MUTT played an active part in American military operations well into the 1980s, when it was phased out in favor of the Humvee. The jeep was a historical witnesses of the Vietnam War, and will bring you to the world heritage temple Angkor Wat, Bayon (Angkor Thom) and one of the most popular temples, Ta Prom, which has trees growing out of its ruins. On this day you will visit the famous ancient Angkor Wat temple complex in style, and you will experience the charm of this temple in an authentic jungle manner, by jeep. You can even discus together with your driver which temples from the Angkor Small circuit you would like to visit. On this small circuit you will find plenty of temples, with the most famous being Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm and Bayon Temple. You can also visit other temples such as Baphuon, Ta Keo, the Terrace of Elephants, Ta Nei and Prei Rup which are also located on this small circuit. Travel back in time and enjoy this day complete with history, adventure and mystery.

Overall, our experience was phenomenal and we had an amazing guide, Oum, to show us everything. He was very knowledgeable and able to share a lot of information about Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples. His personal life story that he shared with us was just humbling and the wisdom he was able to share is life changing. The reason for taking one star off would be for the logistics behind everything and not being fully upfront in all the costs and changes that needed to happen. It seemed like everything we wanted, we had to add extra money too so by the time it was all said and done, we had almost doubled the original cost. Overall, worth it. It was a wonderful experience!

This was the very best! My awesome guide, Ohm, was so knowledgeable. He took me through villages and back roads and we entered the temples in the specific ways to avoid crowds. He filled me in on all the history. I would highly recommend this for the adventurous type. I loved it so much I would do it again!

Awesome day! Chili was my guide and he is absolutely fantastic! His English is superb and he’s very knowledgeable about the area. He also loves to tell jokes! Keep in mind the tour guides don’t accompany you into the actual temples because everyone has to pay an entrance fee; just be prepared for that. I did the Jeep tour because it was unique and it proved to be a very adventurous and fun day!
