Full description
Your tour begins at around 4:30 AM as you are picked up from your accommodation in an air-conditioned bus. Your first stop will be at a local restaurant in Korkuteli Town. Following breakfast you will continue driving to the cleanest lake of Turkey, Salda Lake. During a 1-hour stop at this lake (also known as the "Turkish Maldives"), you can enjoy walking along the white sandy beaches and can also swim in the clear turquoise waters. Located among the mountains, Salda Lake has protected its natural beauty and enchants visitors with a great combination of white, green, and blue colors. It is also the deepest lake in Turkey (184 meters), and its high magnesium white rocks on the lake shore are similar to those found on Mars. Following your break in the "Turkish Maldives", you will continue driving to Pamukkale. Before arriving, there will be a stop at a local restaurant where you will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch. Following that, you will see one of the most unique and wonderful places in the world: Pamukkale (which means the "Cotton Castle" in Turkish). You can stroll along the white calcium travertines and their hot springs, swim in the ancient Cleopatra’s Pool, and discover the ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis. You will also see the largest necropolis in Turkey, as well as one of the largest amphitheaters. You will have a total of about 4 hours to explore Pamukkale and Hierapolis, which is a UNESCO Heritage Site. Following Pamukkale there will be a short visit to Karahayit, with optional swimming at a thermal pool. On the way back to Side you will stop at Korkuteli Town for a delicious dinner, following which your approximate time of arrival to Side is between 9:00PM-10:00PM.

Pamukkale itself is very beautiful. And once it's better to see this place than hear. Our guide Ali was just superb. This is positive. Cons: Our bus was ok, but there was little comfort in it. Breakfast and dinner were none. If we found something else to eat for breakfast, then for dinner it was a complete disaster.

Overall nice

It didn’t start right when I didn’t recieve any pick up time! After I found a number on the website I found out to be picked up at 5.30. It was very good that there was a tourguide special for the English speaking people, so we did the whole tour with only 3 pers! The Russians had their own tourguide! Pamukkale was great! The salda lake was a bit dissapointing! Don’t expect too much of the food but that seems to be logic for the total price! Because of the tourguide and the other English speaking people, had a great day!!

Magnificent Salda and Pamukkale Lake. However, avoid going through GetYourGuide at all costs, it is clearly a scam. Everyone on the bus paid less. Just go through the small activity agencies in the neighborhoods of Side. The excursion on GetYourGuide does not include entry to Pamukkale (€ 12) and lunch (€ 12) while for all the rest of the bus it is included and they paid the same price (€ 55 more or less) . Note that I mentioned having a guide in English but the guide speaks 90% of the time in Polish or Russian and 10% in English. In addition, we went to a wine cellar that was not included in the excursion. I would have preferred not to spend 1 hour in this place and have 1 hour more in Pamukkale.
