What People Are Saying About Sicily

The walking tour gave us a great understandings about Palermo.

Fabrizio did a great job. When he guided us, his English was very good, meaning that we understood it very well although we are not native English speakers. To us, he is a very knowledgeable guide who did not only give us new understandings about Sicilian food, but gave us a lot about the history of Palermo and took us through many significant landmarks, the meaning of which he well explained. Just one warning, before you go don’t eat too much because Fabrizio provide you with good street food during the journey. I should mention, that we were very privileged in the sense that the group this very day only consisted of two people.

I enjoyed our street food walking tour very much

Yes,it was lovely. It was much better than the walking tour in Napoli which was arranged by Costa cruise. Our guide knew very well the history of Palermo and the habbits and customs in Sicyly. A great tour!

Not the typical tourists-tour, we liked it a lot.

Our guide was really cool, it was more like a conversation, than a presentation. also the food they picked for us was really tasty. This is a really good introduction to the city Palermo. Do it.

Cooking Class Excellent, Wine Tour Disappointing

Prompt p/u from accommodations in Palermo. Our guide, Vincenzo, was warm, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Winery tour (Buceci) disappointing-no vines grown here, very boring view of the landscape, winery guides spoke no English, and, finally, tasted three types of wine (Euros 3.50/bottle) which were good, but when we asked to taste some of the other wines (more expensive) we were told that the wines needed to breath for at least an hour and we didn’t have enough time. Departed winery for Agriturismo Parco Vecchio, a beautiful rustic farmhouse nestled among the rolling hills outside of Marineo. No offer to tour farm dairy/factory. Cooking class as described - we watched as owner/chef Ciro prepared several appetizers, a pasta dish and a meat dish. After the prep of each course, we sat in dining room to enjoy each dish complimented with prosecco and red wine. Delicious! Ciro warm and pleasurable, spoke some English. If you go, confirm highlights prior to booking esp. winery.
