Enjoy a private, full day tour in Chengdu and explore the Wuhou Shrine, Du Fu's Cottage, the Tea House, and China's famous giant pandas at the Panda Research Center.
What to Expect
Chengdu is known as the “Country of Heaven,” a land where people have lived for over 4,000 years. Spend a day exploring some of the region's richest and most fascinating attractions, from the Wuhou Memorial Temple's statues to the famous giant pandas at the Panda Research Center.
To begin the day, you will be picked up from your hotel at 8:30 A.M. and transported to the Wuhou Memorial Temple. With the help of a friendly, English-speaking guide, explore a complex of pavilions and statues commemorating figures from the Three Kingdoms period (AD 220-80). From there, we will travel to the outskirts of Chengdu to pay a visit to Du Fu's Thatched Cottage, a beautiful park and museum established to honor the Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu. Afterward, we will stop at the Tea House to enjoy local Sichuan delicacies and tea, partaking in a gathering ritual that dates back to ancient times.
We will end the day at the Panda Research Center, where you can observe China's treasured giant pandas and learn about their lifestyles, habits, and the research that is underway to protect them. We will drop you back off at your hotel at 5:00 P.M.
