Sichuan opera is traditionally enjoyed in a tea house, where the audience can relax with tasty snacks and hot tea while enjoying the performance. Sufengyayun Tea House is one of Chengdu's best, located in the Chengdu Culture Park near Qingyang Palace. The building is in the style of Sichuan's rustic Old West Shu Country. You'll be in for a treat, as the ancient Chinese dramatic art of bian lian (face changing) is a highlight of the show. Performers wear brightly colored costumes and move to quick, dramatic music. Their faces are hidden by vividly colored masks... and in a fraction of a second, the masks change, revealing completely new faces. The vip tickets can choose 1 from the 3 available local experience provided by the opera house: A. ear-cleaning; B.massage; C. dress up a simple opera costume. Each activity takes about 10 to 20 minutes and is available 20 - 30 minutes prior to the opera. The show start at 18:00pm and 20:00pm and the show lasts for 90 minutes.

"Sufeng Yayun" was established in 1998, based in the "Land of Abundance" (Sichuan Province), and oriented towards both domestic and international audiences. It comprehensively showcases the authentic folk arts of Western Sichuan and classical Chinese opera. It is the only large-scale, multifunctional pear garden destination in Sichuan that integrates traditional Chinese art performances, opera, and theater supplies. It has been jointly included in the list of key national cultural and tourism projects by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the National Tourism Administration. "Sufeng Yayun" is located within the ancient buildings of Qingyang Palace on the Qintai Ancient Path in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. It is adjacent to the historic Qingyang Palace (a famous Taoist temple), and it harmoniously complements the nearby Du Fu Thatched Cottage (the former residence of the famous Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu) and Wuhou Shrine (built in memory of Zhuge Liang). The architecture of Sufeng Yayun is simple and carries the dignified and leisurely atmosphere of ancient Sichuan. It has witnessed the rise and fall of a hundred years and has long been a gathering place for famous Sichuan opera actors. It is a deeply rooted folk opera venue in Sichuan. Gaiwan Tea / Covered Bowl Tea is a traditional Chinese way of drinking tea, using a gaiwan, which is a small tea bowl with a lid, to brew the tea. This tea set consists of three parts: the bowl, the lid, and the saucer. When brewing tea, the lid is gently pressed and rotated to control the concentration of the tea and to maintain its temperature. The performance program at Sufeng Yayun has an approximate duration of 80 minutes and includes the following segments: 1. Opening Drum and Gong Performance - "Nao Tai" 2. One-Act Play 3. The show start at 20:00pm and the show lasts for 80 minutes, kindly arrive 15 mins earier.

In the morning, the tour guide will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby, then you will be driven 40 minutes to Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Center where you can have a close encounter with adorable pandas. Arrive early to make the most of your visit. The base opens at 7:30 AM, and arriving early will help you avoid the large crowds. Head straight to the main panda enclosures to see the giant pandas. Early morning is the best time to see them active as they are fed around this time. Visit the Panda Kindergarten where you can see young panda cubs. This is a highlight for many visitors as the cubs are very playful and cute. Walk over to the red panda enclosures to see these smaller, more active animals. They are usually easier to spot in the trees and on the ground。 12:00 Departure Conclude your visit and prepare to leave the base. If you have extra time, consider visiting nearby attractions or enjoy a meal at a local restaurant.

We will book the entry tickets in advance for you in Chengdu. No need to buy the tickets in line on site. Just show your passport to enter the theatre. The theatre for the show is located at the Cultural Park on Qintai Street, a street in traditional Chinese architecture. The whole theatre is a courtyard, audience are seated in bamboo chairs displayed in the courtyard center circled by the actors' make-up room and souvenir shops. All the programs are with high quality as the performers are all professional actors, some of them are the successors of the intangible culture heritages, such as the Stick Puppet Show, the Handshadow show, and the Face-changing show. 1. Face-changing (Bian Lian in Chinese), performers wear bright, dramatic costumes that include vividly colored masks and move to quick, rhythmic music. As they move, the performers’ faces change with almost instantaneous speed, going from one mask to next. 2. Hand Shadow show, the actor use her 2 hands and forearms to imitate the gestures and movement of people and animals. Following the position of the hands, characters or animals appear on the screen. 3. Rolling Light(Gun Deng in Chinese), is another wonder of Sichuan opera. The actor puts a lighted oil lamp on his skinhead, doing a lot of juggling, dancing etc. This is a clown comedy always winning the audience applause.
