Overall, the trip to Mount Sinai was very nice and definitely worth it. Unfortunately, the Katharinenkloster (allegedly due to Corona - which actually no one else was interested in) was closed. From our point of view (we are quite sporty), the hike was not very demanding, but still beautiful. At a slow pace, you can comfortably make it to the summit in 3 hours, along the way there are numerous opportunities to strengthen yourself. Downhill you need about 1.5 hours maximum. The minus point was the minibus, which was occupied down to the last seat (including a spare seat), which is anything but comfortable for taller people due to the small space. But hey, you don't take a trip like this for luxury. Clear recommendation!

Upstairs cafes sell blankets. They save a lot from the cold, I directly advise you to take it while you are waiting for dawn. $ 3 cost one blanket. Best excursion in Egypt I have been
